I hate to have to write this as we have a FAQ section which explains everything, including the type of behaviour that is acceptable to Metal Storm. We are sorry if some people cannot adhere to these rules but we need to have those in order to maintain a friendly atmosphere within our community.

There have been a few instances lately where we had to intervene (by deleting comments, utilising the banhammer, etc.), because people were not being polite to fellow users, were going off-topic to concentrate on personal attacks, or were even resorting to insults as a way of getting their point across. Calling people names is unacceptable, plain and simple. I urge everyone to read again the rules and policies of the website, the rules of posting, as well as the rules of using the Shoutbox. If you don't want to play by these rules, it's better to not play at all.

There are currently three main moderators on Metal Storm: BitterCOld, Troy Killjoy and myself. If you think you are being treated unfairly by fellow user(s) you can send a private message to any of us or any other member of staff for that matter. If you think a thread is turning sour for whatever reason, you can use the report button and we will take care of the situation. If one of the three of us tells you to back off, take it seriously because if you don't you'll find yourself in the sidelines for a while. And if you insist on not listening, you'll find yourself out of Metal Storm permanently.

Insulting behaviour will not be tolerated and this is nothing more than stating the obvious. Misunderstandings do occur, because we have to type and don't discuss face to face, but these can be solved easily if there are good intentions. But if you are up for a fight because you want to be nominated for the Drama Award come the end of the year, you will be disappointed because we only take musicians into account for those.

Be polite to your fellow Metalstormers. Speak your opinion in a mature and respectful way, and don't try to insult anyone. It's really simple but also mandatory if you want to be part of Metal Storm.
