I always mess up the album ones. They take way longer than adding bands, and I contribute quite a lot by adding a lot of bands. Then for some reason I rarely get the community points for adding them.

I’m afraid there’s a big misunderstanding here.
Suggesting bands and adding band profiles are two completely different things. The bands you suggest are added by other people. Suggesting a band takes less than a minute, but adding the band profiles (line-up, photos, logos, all social media links, full discography, videos, etc.) can easily take an hour or more.

I don’t see why anyone should earn community points for simply suggesting bands, as the real work lies in completing the band profiles.
It would be great if more users helped with completing the band profiles, especially those who suggest so many bands and thereby create work for others. That’s precisely why, by the way, you’ve received this message 8 times in December alone.
