One of the best heavy metal albums of 2024 but it seems (almost) nobody cares. (Also I am quite sure that most people that rated it here did not give it more than one entire spin.)

"Helvete På Larvfötter" is an amazing song, but the album as a whole did not grab me that much, and I have had three full listens.

Great that you gave it few spins. This word is overused but I truly think this one is a grower as a whole. I like it even more with every additional listen, songs have interesting "progressions" without being tagged as prog metal or anything like that. Beside the song you mentioned, the opening track "Black Knight" is also one I would point out.

I know what you mean about "progressions"; it does have some "unorthodox" structures for a classic heavy metal album. I will give it another try at some point, because it is common for albums to grow on me after more plays. And Sarah from Smoulder had it on her year-end list, and her recommendations are always top stuff for my taste, so I was a bit surprised that I was not impressed with this one.

I hope more people give their opinion on the album. I am curious.
