"Old School Thrash never dies" that's a famous quotation, and I don't think that quotation has been in better use before.
Because it was nine years ago Necronomicon released their last (fourth) album, and since that it has been dead about this (almost) legendary underground German Thrash Metal band. But now have something woken the sleeping dragon, and Necronomicon is once again spreading their disease around the globe, but this time, they really deserve a larger stage, these guys are to good to play underground.

Necronomicon was formed back in back in 1983 in the German city of Weil am Rhein, of three ex-punkers that just discovered the beautiful music of Metal.
And in 1984 the fourth member joined and the line-up was complete (and still intact today).
It took another 2 more years before any official releases were made; so in 1986 they signed a record deal and released their first album, easily titled "Necronomicon".
Then they released two more albums ("Apocalyptic Nightmare" in 1987) and ("Escalation" in 1988) before a time of much shit came, the next 7 years they struggled against bad labels, fires and legal disputes before they in 1995 had signed with another label and released their third album "Screams".
Then they have just played live and tried to keep the band together, until now, when it's finally time for the fifth album, "Construction of Evil".
Or as the band says: "We'd never been away, we just didn't want anything to do with this New Metal stuff?"

Anyway, enough with history now, let's focus on the present, ok?
So then, what is it with this album that does it so good?
Well, to answer that I need to ask you; what is it that does an album good?
It's of course great songs, good lyrics, tight music, a good singer you name it, Necronomicon got it all.
I have never really got into the German Thrash scene, but after listening to Necronomicon's new, I really need to try again, because this is good.

The songs get stuck in your head from the very first listening, and you will hum along with every riff they do, and it's a lot of riffs, it's Thrash for god's sake.
That combined with the compulsory screamy vocals, it's bloody perfect, I have found salvation.

As you can understand, this is only for you that have some kind of interest in the German Old School Thrash scene (Kreator, Sodom & Destruction) and bands alike those mentions. Do you feel that it fits you taste? Then don't hesitate, take you bike, car or whatever to the local cd-store and get yourself this pearl, you won't regret it.

Check Out: "Hard Pain", "From Hell" & "Terrorist Attack" to mention a few.
