I know that's a weird thing to say from someone who provides a website for free to a huge community, but it's not like we don't have costs. We're just not forwarding them to our users.
I see it as paying for an ad-free experience. I use yt so much that 13€ per month seems a fair price to me. The infrastructure they run is insanely expensive and the service they provide is unheard of still, otherwise.
