Eleanora - Allure 2016 :: ★ Sludge, Post-Hardcore :: Also check out: EP
9.
Emptiness - Nothing But The Whole 2014 :: ★ Black/Death Metal :: Also check out: Error; Oblivion; Not For Music (Beware, all four albums mentioned have little in common aside from fusing black and death metal in various degrees, with the latter not even being all that metal)
They only get that amount of exposuredue to their age. Totally not due to the music they play. How goddamned boring generic post metal can you be? Well, apparently as much as these guys.
Makes sense, since the first time I heard about them was when a bunch of 17-year olds won Humo's Rock Rally, not when a great post metal band won Humo's Rock Rally.
This gave me an idea to make a similar list, about my country.
Listened to almost all albums here and Thee Plague Of Gentlemen is the bestest best until now.
You should. I actually made this list to become more aware of my home-country scene, so feel free to recommend anything you feel is missing.
My favorite here is definitely Nothing But The Whole though.
No Oceans Of Sadness? Come on! Mirror Palace is great, but their last, The Arrogance Of Ignorance is really fantastic!
Hehe, you have recommended them before, actually. I've listened to one album (can't remember which one) and wasn't convinced but they've been on my list of bands I will eventually check out. Eventually.

haha true . My bad, didn't check the first page.
As for Oceans Of Sadness, they're pretty weird, but not in a wacky sense, they're just... unconventional. Their music can definitely take some time before sinking in, I must say (I, too, wasn't impressed at first)

Yeah, it's not that I remember disliking them, I just needed more time with their music (but I haven't been as active a music-listener as I was then so I just never got to it.) Thanks for the reminder though
In case you didn't check it, the last Wiegedood sounds killer.
I haven't really checked out anything metal-related lately. I've just been floating around some old favorites and exploring some genres and artists I missed. I might give it a spin later today, but first gonna go for the new Wolvennest since I'm more excited about that one
