08:51 - Apothecary It's like it's saying "those things, that you thought were buried deep in your mind's recesses.... I am bringing them out." So, "disturbing" in a different sense of the word, I guess
08:50 - Apothecary I'm not in Vindsval's head of course, but I look at MoRT as channeling the nature of the human unconscious, and that's what's so off-putting about it in a way because its paradoxical structured/formless aura somehow reflects that
08:25 - Jaeryd Gnaw Their Tongues is something I would call disturbing though, yes.
08:23 - Jaeryd MoRT, disturbing or scary? Twisted, dark, insane, and brilliant, yes, but there's much more unsettling stuff out there.
08:14 - Apothecary If you liked I Shall Die Here, you might want to investigate the work of The Haxan Cloak farther, the guy they collabed with for it. Pretty nice if you're into the ambient stuff [link]
07:44 - Joe Zombie GTT is some fucked up shit but damn good. I Shall Die Here by The Body is another disturbing one.
Some cool albums, but How can you give this many albums enough time to come to any realistic opinion on them? That's a shitload of tunes there I just don't get it.
I work at a law firm, but there's only me there at the office, everybody else works at my bosses house (poor bastards), so I have a lot of time to listen to music on pandora, and last.fm without distractions.
200+ albums in a year is pretty standard for anyone who digs around enough for new music. Some lists here exceed the 300 mark (not saying this list is inherently inferior).
Well thanks. This list though is not in any kind of order, I'm just about done with what I believe are the top albums of the year, so this is completely different then what the finished one will look like.
