This album is intended to commemorate the countless victims of the First World War.
The lyrical background of "Menschenmühle" is based on factual reports, letters and other documents from the surviving and deceased soldiers.
The album was written, recorded and produced by Kanonenfieber from September 2020 to January 2021 in the Noisebringer Studio.

Stumbled upon this a few days ago as I have a soft spot for WWI themed black/death metal (1914, Minenfeld, Minenwerfer) and I am still spinning this at least twice a day. Awesome blend of death and black with a healthy dosage of doom, a pinch of post-rock, tasty riffs, delicious samples and an unexpected but very welcome acoustic surprise at the end. This ticks all the right boxes. Great from start to finish.

A really fresh and solid Black/Death-Metal-Album !! It reminds to Quorton and Bathory... Grabenkampf, Ins Niemandsland and Unterstandsangst are my favorite Songs but this Album has no weakness. I love It ! 10/10

This is a good album, very powerful and heavy. I always imagine a feeling of great emotional sadness from bands like this and 1914, when they make albums that are World War themed, they do it so well. The sound and production is pretty much spot on, the style is very much like that of Mgła, with a slight death metal influence.

To be quite honest this sounds like a poor man's 1914 to me. It comes across as cheesy in places as well. I hear echoes of Amon Amarth which can't be what he was going for. If we're comparing with Panzerfaust (as they're soon to be on tour together) then this isn't even in the same ballpark. It's a complete injustice that these will be the headliners.
