Got listened to Parkway last year swinging "Atlas" for fun and always found a synonym to Bullet for my...
I never found PD interesting except to sugarcoat the structural songs boosting the commercial fanbase.

It's not a bad release I suppose, but not great. It has some Interesting catchy riff melodies and choruses, and tracks like "The Greatest Fear" and "Darker Still" are catchy AF! But unfortunately it's going to have to take alot more than catchy riffs to please me on this one, that's if it's going to make up for the god awful lyrics and songwriting, that makes this sound incredibly mainstream and generic, I'm also not big on the vocals.

An album to tear it up live. All the songs are choreable, which I guess is what they are looking for. And although they are not what they were at the beginning, I prefer this evolution to that of other bands of the same style.

I'm a little disappointed. I do however love 'darker still' and 'from the heart of the darkness'. If they can carry their style into that direction they would be on to something. Needed a few more drum fills and a switch up on the guitar melody every now and then. This will probably slap live mind.

Pretty big step down from the previous album. Only a couple songs are even remotely interesting

I've never listened to Parkway Drive before, but thought I'd give this a go since I'd heard a couple of mates recently say they were fans of PD when seeing them live. There's a lot of plodding tracks with so-so arena choruses, quite a lot of it sounds like Amon Amarth run through a nu-metalcore filter. I'm assuming this isn't how they've always sounded?

I liked their last outing very much but disappointed with this one not because its very bad but they have become very much soft and cheesy. Except for a couple of tracks rest are forgettable.

In the beginning I was made of clay. Then I bit the apple and they changed me to metal 🤘

I personally found the album to be a lot of fun. I have been hankering a cheesy metalcore album, I suppose, with lots of drops, and this scratched the itch nicely.

I don't like their style, but as a live band they kick serious ass. Have a look at this from last night. I went to see Triptykon performing Celtic Frost tracks and Soulfly, and was planning to leave before PD would start, but I decided to stay just to watch a song or two. In the end, I watched the whole show because they were really very, very good. The new songs that they played sounded great live, especially "Glitch", with which they opened, was explosive, and I also quite liked the title track. The singer was a great performer and the lead guitarist stood out, too.

To be fair, that track actually has some fucking life to it. I did click on a video of Glitch from Athens that appeared on the side bar of the vid you linked, and it still sounds like flat, uninspired, plodding melodeathy metalcore, like a discarded remnant from a Reroute To Remain writing session

I'm taking your word for it, since metalcore, nu metal, and even melodeath of this kind is as far from my listening pool as it can be. I have never even listened to Reroute To Remain...
