It's been a long time since I listened to Rage, too many albums, but the Afterlifelines singles have rekindled my interest: I'll give it a chance

Alright this one is a grower for me. Been a while since I've been listening to Rage, but they still kicking.

The album is a bit long imo, but embraces both the thrashier moments of Rage's music as well as the symphonic parts.
Would it have been better as two separate releases? Probably.

But don't get me wrong, the songs are great, the feel is there and it's a great solid Rage record

To many albums, to many good forgotten old albums band has, cant talk and judge this one.
But double CD was overkill IMO

The last ones have been nice releases, being Resurrection Day their most interesting over the last 10 years.

In my book Rage never disappoints. I hope to listen this new album through this week to express my viewpoint about.

Peavy is noted that in this work is dedicated to make better compositions also with the energy of the new member seems great to me, an interesting album to have in a collection of vinyl or CDs as it is a long lasting album I listened in 2 days and my songs that I liked over the others are:

• Toxic Waves
• Shadow World
• The Flood

Too many songs and felt too tired listening to the whole album. There are few good tracks but literally got drowned in the flush of too many average tracks. But appreciate them for still producing good music after a such long career.

In the beginning I was made of clay. Then I bit the apple and they changed me to metal 🤘

I'm not sure how Rage is still able to deliver but they do. I can agree that this could easily been cut down into a single cd but I must say that most stuff here is quality.

Rage is one of those groups i always heard of since tthe 80's (a bit like axxis) that i never listenend a single album. So i decided to mend that serious lack and bought this one. And to be honest i really like this album. What is really astonishing is the number of tracks/lengh of it. Most of the time too long albums as this one seems to be are really boring but i think this one isnt. MAny good tracks. Well i'll carry on listening to it for a while to fix my opinion. But from the third listen its a good album at least.

If you want to pick their best 80s album - Perfect Man, Secrets In A Weird World. If you want to check their best commercial releases, it happened in early 90s - Trapped, The Missing Link, Black In Mind etc.

I agree on all these counts, almost. For their best 80s albums I would say that is definitely Secrets, followed by Execution Guaranteed, and only then Perfect Man. For their 90s albums, yes, those are the relevant ones.

Execution Guaranteed, and only then Perfect Man.

Execution was far better than the Rage's debut album in terms of speed, even incorporate progressive while Perfect Man striked a balance between technical skill, melodic accessibility, and thrash aggression, made it more memorable and refined.
