Another modern metalcore/Deathcore band that sounds like so many others.

I don’t think that’s true at all. Maybe Loathe a little bit but what other bands do they “sound like”

I guess with all the break downs and all hat maybe I just have Knocked Loose on the mind when listening to this. Which I know This band is deathcore and the other is metalcore. I guess I just feel like I'm hearing a lot of the same tropes.

Yeah I don't agree with that. These kinds of comments/comparisons always come from people who do not listen to Deathcore regularly. It is like when you hear people who do not listen to Metal say, "They all sound the same to me," when it is just the lack of ability to differentiate speed, tempo, tuning, mixing, and so on. So I think you are just unfamiliar with this subgenre.

Going through life giving bad reviews just because "that sounds like so many others" when it is clear that you are not familiar with the genre is a bit irresponsible, in my opinion.

Don't get me wrong, I don't think this album is a Masterpiece, but you are saying this album sounds like Knocked Loose, which can be further from the truth. Saying that it sounds the same just because it has a bunch of breakdowns is like saying all death metal sounds the same because of the bunch of blast beats.

It is OK not to like certain subgenres, but why give a bad score (with an even worse argument) to albums from a genre you don't like in the first place?

I find Doom metal so boring, but that doesn't make me go through all Doom albums giving them 1s if I beforehand know that I will find those boring, and imagine how dumb I will sound if my argument is "Another Doom band that sounds like many others, because their songs are slow"

Again, it is OK to not like some sub-genres, but give me real arguments if you give a bad review.

Right, I think that comparison with metalcore was totally oddball.

I mean I heard this band way before it was put on metalstorm that's why I already put a score on the first two, figured the third one might surprise me but it didn't. Also I've like some metalcore bands never said I didn't like any. Just not a lot of the modern ones. But I do like Candy, Varials, Mouth For War. Vein.fm. for the newer ones And the oldest that's one of my fav metalcore bands is Damnation A.D. (But that's because their a bit different then a lot of the modern ones because they came from a more hardcore scene then the style changed some time later) So no haven't given every Core album a 1 in fact I barely gave any album a 1 unless I find it really bad. 5 is not even the lowest just super average and to me rather it fully sounds the same to me or not like Knocked Loose(hell maybe not the best comparison) It just seems repetitive and samey. But it's music we're not going to see eye to eye on everything not everybody's the same on what they hear.
