I'm not bitching about it, and I can do it whatever I want.

But you are whining about it all the time. Just man up.

Lyrics never change my opinion on music unless they're extremely noticeable. Lyrics are usually just a bonus to the music imo.

Well they are bound to be different since the albums before Gorgoroth's last one were written by King who did this, too, but now Gorgoroth's lineup is (again) mostly redone.
I really adore King's style of writing, eager to hear this one.

Nope, most follow a similar "cult" than Varg so it's about Norse Gods. They are not really "satanic" but against christianity (anti-christian?), and what'd be a better way to piss christians off than praise Lucifer?
This is an old think, you can't be that ill-educated to not understand the setting.

We could get into the semantics of Satanism all day long and fail to reach a conclusion, such is the ambiguity of the term, but to suggest that Gaahl and King are not going to write Satanic-themed music (however you want to define "Satanism") is misguided.

Interesting retro keyboardsound!

I thought the single was great so I'm really interested in this album.

It strongly reminds me 'Ad Majorem Sathanas Gloriam' by Gorgoroth... I guess too strongly.
But worst thing is that they stole some riffs from last Gorgoroth album (probably from Satan-Prometheus), and this is what means shame and defeat...
And where is great, famous, evil Gaahl's vocal? I hear only some chugging.
All in all the album is not a disaster and has some good points, but for me it's pretty disappointing.
