The Summer Jam - the most "Periphery" out of all the tracks, but fresh and easily the best
Feed The Ground - generic, but awesome vocal work
Zero - more like "Zero Merit"...pure generic
The Parade Of Ashes - pretty fresh, but I didn't like the industrial vibes
Extraneous - generic, but awesome
Pale Aura - pretty typical Periphery and enjoyable, but the vocal work could have been better
Overall, pretty dissatisfied with this

I think the industrial bits are giving the song a slight NIN-like vibe.
Really love that song, but haven't really decided about the EP overall. Needs more listens.

Yea...I meant to say disappointed, but I suppose dissatisfied also works. I'm used to Periphery crunching out albums worth a 9 or 10. I know this is only an EP but when you have high expectations...you're right though. I was a bit ambivalent when I gave this an 8...going to change it to a 7

For those wondering, the composer of each track is as follows:
2. "The Summer Jam" (guitarist Jake Bowen)
3. "Feed the Ground" (drummer Matt Halpern)
4. "Zero" (guitarist Misha Mansoor)
5. "The Parade of Ashes" (vocalist Spencer Sotelo)
6. "Extraneous" (bassist/producer Adam "Nolly" Getgood)
7. "Pale Aura" (guitarist Mark Holcomb)
Best to worst for me are: 7, 4, 2, 6, 3, 5.

Wow, do we have the exact opposite taste or something?
Mine was actually something more along the lines of:
5, 3, 2, 7, 6, 4 (though I can't say this is my final mindset on these right now; they just keep alternating)
Overall though, I really enjoyed this album. It's nice to see so many different sides to the band I thought I'd memorised the formula of!

I very like the idea of composing and producing each track by someone in the band separately, 'cause you can understand the different moods of different people and their abilities.
