I know I also have other stuff to review, but really it's hard to stop listening to this album. This is about Horrendous' new album Ecdysis. Weird title, it describes the process of moulting, as Wikipedia tells me as a non-native English speaker. However I didn't know about this band before and to be honest I don't know much about classical death metal in general, but I know that this album rocks your socks. These guys hail from the USA and it's their second record.

Hey if it's quality death metal as everybody says, there won't be. Plus it's not called Cormorant, so I think you'll be fine .

It was just a joke, I meant I would have bashed it even if it were good if the band were called Cormorant.

So yeah not bad indeed. Won't be going back to it I suspect, but very nice. I loved the drums.

I hope Elend change their name to Cormorant, just to see the look on your face as you're forced to bash all their stuff.

One of the best sounding death metal albums I've heard, not a great fan of OSDM but this got something extra to it, sounds interesting

I'm currently listening to this for, according to my itunes, the 40th time. That doesn't count all the times I've spun the vinyl. It isn't even beginning to lose its charm, and each listen is just as good as the last. This is probably one of the firmest 10s I've given to an album on MS

I like this the more I'm listening to it actually. Favorite tracks gotta be The Stranger, The Vermilion and Titan. Think I'm going to buy this!

I knew I'd liked this when I'd listened to it first, but giving it another listen definitely reminded me why - really ace album; I'd say it beats out Morbus Chron and even Tribulation as far as this adventurous DM sound goes

Really strong death metal! The vocals sound to me like a mix of Asphyx and Vektor. The riffs are intense but are also often very melodic, with two entirely instrumental songs. Will be listening to this often - might go up to a 9
