American stoner rockers Sir Lord Baltimore have lost their founding member and drummer/vocalist John Garner. A native of Brooklyn, New York, Garner died of liver failure after spending several days in a coma. He formed the band in 1968 with guitarist Louis Dambra and bassist Gary Justin. They recorded Kingdom Come in 1970 and followed it in 1971 with their self-titled sequel. They split in 1976 and Garner resurrected the group for 2006's III Raw. Back in the day, Sir Lord Baltimore toured with Black Sabbath in the U.S. as well.

Finnish doomsters Lord Vicar have announced their new album. It will be called Gates Of Flesh and will be out via The Church Within Records, on Winter/Spring 2016. This will be the band's 3rd full-length album, following Fear No Pain (2008) and Signs Of Osiris (2011). For now, you can take a look at the album artwork which is the painting "Nymphs and Satyr" (1873) by William Adolphe Bouguereau. Lord Vicar has been recording the album since October and you can expect more doom from them soon enough.

The film will be produced by Ridley Scott's Scott Free London, RSA London, and VICE. Lords of Chaos focuses on the real events involving members of the 80's black metal scene in Scandinavia and will follow the story of 17-year-old Øystein "Euronymous" Aarseth, guitarist and co-founder of the Norwegian black metal band Mayhem during the upbringing of the genre.

Swedish stoner doom formation Monolord generously unveils another track from their soon-to-be-released sophomore album, Vænir. The ten-minute-long piece titled "Died A Million Times" is the third song to be shared ahead of the album's release on April 28th via Riding Easy Records.
