Karnak Seti - Entire New Album Streaming Online

In Harmonic Entropy, the upcoming new album from Portuguese melodic death metallers Karnak Seti is now streaming online in its entirety at this location. The album will be self-released on February 6th, 2012, and it was produced by Daniel Cardoso (Heavenwood, Angelus Apatrida, Ava Inferi) at Ultrasound Studios in Portugal.

Byfrost - Part Ways With Drummer

In a statement issued by the band, Norwegian blackened metallers Byfrost have announced that they have parted ways with "Alkolust", their drummer since 2008.

Frontman Heavyharms commented: "We have had a great time playing with Alkolust over the years and we wish him the best with his other projects. And to all our fans out there, this is not the end, but very much a new beginning. Horns to the sky!"

Eïs - Update From The Band

German black metallers Eïs will enter the studio in April to start recording their fourth album. The band issued the following update: "Eïs will enter StudioE at April 2nd to record the fourth album. The studio line-up consists of Marlek on drums and Alboin on guitars, bass, synths and vocals. Nostarion of Dämmerfarben will join us for additional electric and acoustic guitars as well as cello performances."

Weeping Silence - New Album In The Works

Maltese gothic/doom metallers Weeping Silence have entered the studio again in December 2011 and 2012, this time at Spine Splitter Studio, to record their most recent material, which also features male backing vocals. The album features Anders Jacobsson of Draconian as a guest vocalist, it is being produced by Brett Caldas-Lima at Tower Studios in France and the band plans to release it this year. There are also a number of shows planned for this year.

Black Sabbath - Bill Ward Out Of The Reunion

Bill Ward posted a lengthy message onto his Facebook yesterday stating that he is unable to continue with the Black Sabbath album and reunion tour, until a "signable" contract is drawn up that "reflects some dignity and respect toward me as an original member of the band".

DragonForce - New Album Details Revealed

British power metallers DragonForce revealed on their official website details about the band's upcoming album. It will be titled The Power Within and will be released in the UK on April 15th via the band's own Electric Generation Recordings, distributed by Essential Music (UK), Roadrunner Records (North America), 3Wise (Australia) and JVC Victor (Japan). The Power Within is their fifth full-length studio album and the first with the new singer Marc Hudson.

Angel Witch - New Album In March

UK NWOBHM band Angel Witch has announced their first studio album in 26 years. The new album, entitled As Above, So Below, will be released on March 12th through Rise Above Records. The band posted this short statement on their Facebook page: "I guess that when the reviews start hitting the net, then we can't really keep the album a secret any more..."

No further album details have been revealed yet, but should be expected soon.

Ulcerate - Announce First Ever North American Tour

New Zealand death metallers Ulcerate have announced that they will be doing a mini North American tour of seven shows in May, starting in Philadelphia. The tour will feature shows in the Eastern US and Canada with American metallers Tombs as support on the first three dates and another opener to be announced for the remaining tour stops.

The Foreshadowing - New Album To Be Released This Spring

Italian doom/gothic metallers The Foreshadowing have announced that their third full-length album, the follow-up to 2010's Oionos, will be released this spring via Cyclone Empire. Mixing and mastering will take place at the Unisound Studios in Sweden by Dan Swanö (Asphyx, Dark Funeral, Katatonia, Edge Of Sanity, etc.) and the artwork will be penned by Travis Smith (Opeth, Anathema, Nevermore).
