James Labrie - Opera Project

Dream Theater's Singer James Labrie posted the following message on his official forum:

"Hi Everyone,

Yes the rumor is true. I have been in contact with Dirk Ulrich and we have agreed to do this album which will be incredible to say the least.
I do know who the other singer is but won't say at this point. I will wait until everything is official and all legalities have been dealt with.
All I can say is this individual is very well known and one of the top opera stars of today.

Great seeing you out on tour. We are having a blast and the shows have been fantastic.

See you around.

Cheers,"

James.

Nasum - Ex-Members Starting New Project

The following message can be found in the band's site.

"Tomorrow Jon and Urban come to Örebro. We are going to kickstart a new little project, which will include Jesper in the future, but this weekend its just us three.

Yes, it's all ex-Nasum members in this project, and yes, there will be a great amount of grinding done, but no - this is not Nasum part 2, this is just a couple of friends who happen to like playing together catching up and making some music at the same time.

I'll tell you more when there is something more to tell, this weekend we'll just write some songs I guess and see what happens. A recording is planed sometime, but nothing more than that.

I've been looking forward to this weekend many many weeks now so I am very excited about all this."

As usual, Andy was also responsible for all the lyrics. As stated before, "Christ 0" will be a concept album based on Alexandre Dumas' "Monte Cristo". No exact release date has been confirmed yet, but it is likely to come out around March/April 2006.

World Below - Vocalist/Bassist Leaves The Band

The World Below + Isole tour, is cancelled! Mikael Danielsson, the vocalist & bassist of World Below, has left the band with immediate notice. It's impossible to find a replacement with such short notice. Here is a statement from Jonas Kjellgren, the mainman in World Below:

Statement:
"Sad but true Mikael Danielsson has left the band today, why? I don't really know and I don't care either that's just the way it is...Per Nilsson left the band about one month ago. Now it's only Ronnie and me left and we won't be able to do any gigs in a while until we get a serious line-up. In the future I will handle both guitar and vocal-duties, so we will just add a bass-player to the line-up and continue as a three-piece!! World Below won't stop until I'm dead, and that's no bullshit, that's just the way it is ok!"
Cheers!!!
/Jonas

The fact that Per Nilsson left the band doesn't/didn't cause any problems as all upcoming shows - including the tour - were going to happen with the help of a session guitarist.

Al Jourgensen - Launches 13th Planet Records

INDUSTRIAL ICON AL JOURGENSEN OF MINISTRY
LAUNCHES 13TH PLANET RECORDS

13th Planet Website Unveiled on Halloween 2005
www.thirteenthplanet.com

Debut release of the new Revolting Cocks coming on Valentines Day 2006
All new Ministry album to follow in April 2006

Industrial rock pioneer Al Jourgensen ventures into the record label business with the launch of 13th Planet Records, the new home of Ministry and Revolting Cocks. The imprint/boutique label is a joint venture with Megaforce Records for the U.S. and Canadian markets, distributed through Sony/RED. Missi Callazzo, Vice President of Megaforce, excitedly relates, "It's great to be working with Ministry again. We had platinum success during 'Psalm 69' days and Ministry remains an iconic and pioneering band. There is nobody better than Al Jourgensen releasing terror and greatness as he continues to challenge the status quo.".

With the recent release of Ministry's 25th anniversary collection Rantology marking the completion of his contractual agreement with Sanctuary Records, Mr. Jourgensen and Sanctuary amicably parted ways. The Sanctuary catalog of Ministry releases includes Sphinctour, Animositisomina, the critically acclaimed Houses of the Molé.

Jourgensen essentially returns to his roots with his latest endeavor. Al spearheaded the Chicago based Waxtrax! imprint throughout the late 80's and 90's bringing forth the release of such notable alter-ego ventures as Revolting Cocks, Pailhead, 1000 Homo DJ's, Acid Horse, PTP, and Lard. Jourgensen explains "Being clean for three years, I decided it was time for me to get back in the saddle and create an independent and autonomous outlet for Ministry and other side projects again. I am looking forward to developing 13th Planet Records into a successful, prolific, and creatively rewarding artist run label."

13th Planet Records unveils its new website www.thirteenthplanet.com on October 31, 2005. The site will host news, music, tour information, and merchandise for all things Ministry, Revolting Cocks and Jourgensen's side-projects.

13th Planet unleases its debut release Revolting Cocks: Cocked and Loaded February 14, 2006. Produced by Al Jourgensen, the CD features the contributions of guest artists Jello Biafra (Dead Kennedys), Gibby Haynes (Butt Hole Surfers), Rick Nielsen (Cheap Trick), Billy Gibbons (ZZ Top), Stevie Banch (Spyder Baby) and Phildo Owen (Skatenigs) and Robin Zander (Cheap Trick). The anticipated new Ministry album, Rio Grande Blood will follow with an April 2006 release. Also produced by Ministry founder Jourgensen, the new album features Tommy Victor (Prong) and Paul Raven (Killing Joke).

Paragon - Preparing DVD/Update

The following message was posted by Jan Bünning(bassist) on the band official website:

"As fans keep asking us just some words to our plans for the near future. At present we rehearse for our next headliner shows our newest member - drummer Christian Gripp - still has to learn songs so we have a longer setlist.

When we have played our next show we will start to write new songs for our next record we plan to record in late winter / early spring 2006 with a possible release date just before summer or late summer. We also have to take a look at the shows we recorded for our first DVD release. All in all we recorded four shows - WACKEN 2004, METAL BASH 2005, our MARKTHALLE SHOW in Hamburg and also our performance at the KEEP IT TRUE in the beginning of this year. Furthermore we have lot of bootleg shows record with just one camera we could include as bonus. It´s a lot of work to sort out the good from the bad but we hope we know something more soon. We don´t have any precise release date yet but we hope we are ready in the beginning of 2006 with it.

We also try to get some shows for festivals and single shows next year. If anybody is interested in booking us just drop us a line at gigs@paragon-legions.com .

So we have a lot of work in front of us - but METAL is the LAW!"

Chris Impelliteri - To Join Metal Band

The following message by Crhis Impelliteri was posted on the official Impelliteri's fan club site:

"I am currently writing and recording music with my new Los Angeles based metal band. This will be the first official band I have actually joined. The music is definitely metal; and yes there are lots of Impellitteri shredding solos! ; however, the difference between my new band and Impellitteri is the fact that I am just the lead guitarist as opposed to the leader of the group.
Furthermore, I am excited to be part of this new band to see if we can build something special for the metal community. If all goes well we should have some new music by next summer and the official name of the band."

Orphanage - The Band Has Disbanded

Orphanage is no more...

Through this message we want to bring you the news that the heavy metal band Orphanage has stopped.

From recent internal discussions it appeared that there was too much irritation and a lack of mutual trust, to be able to make a new Orphanage product, by the high quality standards that the band has been known for throughout the years.

An end has come to 11 years of "Innovative Gregorian Celtic Groovy Melodic Doom Death Metal". We've had a great time. A lot of special moments are in our hearts forever. We were there, YOU were there.

Please send the news to all that have supported us in all these years, in what form whatsoever. Doesn't matter if you read this for the 100th time, just be sure that we ?

. . . want to thank YOU ALL!!!

No Orphanage without you; everyone that visited our concerts, that listened to our music, those who have worked for us, worked together with us, those who have shared the ENERGY with us . . . . forever: THANKS !!!
