Kayser - Former SP Singer's Band To Release CD

KAYSER, the new Swedish band featuring Spice (ex-SPIRITUAL BEGGARS), Mattias Svensson (THE DEFACED), Bob Ruben (ex-THE MUSHROOM RIVER BAND) and Fredrik Finnander (ex-AEON), have completed work on their debut album, "Kaiserhof", due on June 13 via Scarlet Records.

"Kaiserhof" was recorded at Caesar studios (SOILWORK, THE DEFACED) and features a sound best described as "a mutation of BLACK SABBATH/MEGADETH/SLAYER with dips from different good bowls of classic and modern metal," according to a press release.

"Originating from the pens of Spice and Svensson, KAYSER enforces the pillars of metal with absolute authority," the press release continues. "Focus always lies on the song, easily identifiable through the supreme vocals by Spice, though the emotional and musical expressions stretch from heavy introvert pounding to pure hate driven ferocity."

"Kayserhof" track listing:

01. 1919
02. Lost Cause
03. Good Citizen
04. Noble is Your Blood
05. 7 Days to Sink

Mortification - Working On New Material

Mortification are busy in the rehersal room putting together material for their 13th studio release. The band is working on late 80's, early 90's sounding Death/Thrash Metal. Expect something in a similar vein to the Self-Titled album. There will be a few musical surprises as always, but the plan is not to experiment too much with the vocals, rather keep them as straight forward Death Metal as possible.

Please keep the band in your prayers.

Blessings,

The Metal Messenger.

Dreamtale - Line-up Change

Finnish Power metal band Dreamtale's vocalist Jarkko Ahola left the band because he wants to fully concentrate on his main band Teräsbetoni. He posted following announcement on band's website:

Dear friends of the band,

I am sad to announce that I have to step aside from Dreamtale. My time is totally taken by another band called Teräsbetoni. Therefore I think it's not fair for the rest of the band, that they can't do what they do the best: play live shows. So, in this situation it's better for all of us someone else to take my place in this great band. I wish the best for all of you - the band and you readers. It has all been my pleasure.

And it's possible that we will playing together again, someday...

Gorefest - Sign to Nuclear Blast

NUCLEAR BLAST is proud to announce that reunited Dutch Death Metal legends GOREFEST have signed a multi-album deal. Expect new music towards the end of the year.
On their website, GOREFEST comment: "It's turning out to be a pretty amazing year for us, first of all getting together again and now getting back to the world's leading metal label! And it sure feels good!"

During the Nineties, GOREFEST had released four albums via NUCLEAR BLAST ("False", "The Eindhoven Insanity - Live At The Dynamo", "Erase", and "Soul Survivor"). The quartet disbanded in 1998.

The band is "currently writing songs for that seems to become a very heavy new album" and will hit the festival circuit this summer? The GOREFEST story is far from over.
