Metallica - Mixing New Album, Out This Year

Metallica are taking their sweet time with the follow-up to Death Magnetic (2008). Now almost eight years later, their new album is being finalized, currently in the mixing stages. In a recent interview with Humanity magazine, drummer Lars Ulrich confirmed that their 10th album is coming out this year (tentatively in the fall) and you can expect a more diverse record.

The Browning - Debut Music Video

Epica - To Tour Europe With Powerwolf

Epica are teaming up with German power metallers Powerwolf for an European co-headline tour in early 2017. This trek will happen in support of the Dutch metallers upcoming album, The Holographic Principle, which will be released on September 30th, 2016. The tour begins in January.

Firewind - Enter The Studio, Reschedule Tour Dates

While last year Firewind announced their new singer Henning Basse, they didn't mention that a new album was in the works. Well, now it's official. The follow-up to Few Against Many (2012) is finally coming and in fact, the band just entered the studio for the recording of their new 8th album. Furthermore, the power metallers announced rescheduled tour dates for Europe.

Body Count - Join Century Media, To Record New Album

After their 2014 comeback record, Manslaughter, Body Count have a new label now. The iconic band (featuring Ice-T on vocals), has officially inked a worldwide deal with Century Media Records and will begin tracking their highly anticipated new, full-length offering with Will Putney (Miss May I, Upon A Burning Body). Putney also tracked the group's last effort.

Earth Electric - New Band Feat. Rune Eriksen And Carmen Simões

When Ava Inferi broke up in 2013, the members promised that new projects would appear and fill the void, so to speak. Well, today there is something new that might excite Ava Inferi fans. Rune Eriksen and Carmen Simões are joining forces in a new band called Earth Electric and they just signed to Season of Mist. The Norwegian/Portuguese collaborators will release their debut full-length on the label.

In Flames - Join Nuclear Blast, To Release New DVD

Nuclear Blast continue on their path to metal domination as they just revealed another big signing today. After Paradise Lost and Opeth, now it's In Flames joining the label for the world except North America and Scandinavia. The Swedes have been working on a new album but they only mention for now that they are working on the release of a new live DVD. Their last DVD came out back in 2005, Used And Abused... In Live We Trust.

Enslaved - Debut Album To Be Reissued On Vinyl

Remember Enslaved's debut Vikingligr Veldi? Well, it will now be reissued on vinyl for the very first time this September on ByNorse. The reissue of Vikingligr Veldi will coincide with the band's 25th anniversary European Tour and will be available in a limited Enslaved 25 Webshop edition and a regular edition! The astonishing new layout was done by Zbigniew M. Bielak (Ghost, Mayhem, etc.) and includes four brand new illustrations specially made for this album.

Moonspell - Announce New Shows, Working On New Material

Moonspell have toured extensively in support of their latest album, Extinct. But the touring will continue. In fact, the Portuguese group just announced their final tour for 2016 that will bring them to Spain and France. They will also perform at the Eindhoven Metal Meeting and Graspop Metal Meeting with an Irreligious set for the record's twentieth anniversary. Anagnorisis - New Album Coming, Trailer Unveiled

Anagnorisis are a Kentucky-based black metal band and they are about to release their third album. Ghost - Announce North American Tour

Ghost just announced that they will return to North America in September, October and November for their Popestar tour. The Swedish group recently had to cancel their Pinkpop Festival and Download Festival performances after frontman Papa Emeritus III suffered "a severe case of laryngitis." Check out the North American dates below and you can also expect a new Ghost EP this year.

German black metallers Nocte Obducta just announced their new album! Moreover, a new song has already been made available online for streaming as well. Umbriel (Das Schweigen Zwischen Den Sternen), their last album, came out three years ago and their next offering is called Mogontiacum (Nachdem Die Nacht Herabgesunken...). Filter - Cancel Swedish Show After Death Threat

Filter were scheduled to perform at Sticky Fingers in Gothenburg Monday night (June 13th) but they claimed that the group was forced to cancel the concert after receiving death threats. Filter called off the performance just hours before taking the stage, while on tour with Combichrist. However, a representative for the club says that the band called off the show after one of the bandmembers was caught smoking inside the venue.
