Dark Moor - Finish Recording New Album

Spain-based Power Metallers Dark Moor have posted the following message on their official website:

"I'm writing again just to let you know we've finished the recordings for the new album, and our dearest producer Luigi Stefanini and my bandmate Enrik are currently working on the mixing and mastering of it!!!

I had quite a good recording process. My throat went very well and finished very quickly!! I was really surprised of how fast I was going, so I had time enough to repeat parts that were ok at first time but wanted to improve even more!! I think I have reached with this record an important point in my career and in my way of singing, my voice and style sound really personal. So, we will start soon with the post-production work and promotion, I can't tell you any more for the moment, but will keep you updated, OK?"

The new album is tentatively scheduled for an early 2007 release via an as-yet-undisclosed label. And will also include a guest appearance by the Dutch singer Manda Ophuis of the band Nemesea."

Amon Amarth - New Video Posted Online

Swedish death metallers Amon Amarth's new video of the song 'Runes To My Memory' has been posted online, here (Windows Media required). The track comes off the Swedish metallers' latest album, "With Oden On Our Side", which was issued through Metal Blade Records on 25 September 2006 in the following formats: limited-edition red vinyl LP, standard CD, limited-edition two-CD digipack, and standard LP.

As previously reported, the last three shows of the European tour in Scandinavia got cancelled since Amon Amarth got the chance to support Children Of Bodom in the U.S. - an opportunity they simply couldn't miss. Amon Amarth fans all over Scandinavia shouldn't be too sad though - the band will play a much more extensive leg in Scandinavia in early 2007!

Soilwork - Postpone Turkish Tour/ N. American Tour Dates

Soilwork have postponed their Turkish tour dates, originally scheduled for September 30th in Ankara and October 1st in Istanbul. They have issued the following explanation for the decision:

"Dear Turkish promoters/fans,

Unfortunately we are forced to postpone the upcoming shows in Turkey due to the recent bombings/attacks against tourists. We want to give the Turkish fans the best possible show we can and at this moment in time, we do not feel we can provide that due to the state of mind we found ourselves in after hearing about the attacks. We promise to return once there is more stability in the region and once again apologize for any disappointment caused by the cancellation.

We are still very excited to be able to play in Turkey, we just hope you will have the patience and the understanding until we have confirmed new dates in a near future.

All our best,

Nightwish - Did NOT Find A New Vocalist

Nightwish have posted the following statement at their official website regarding rumours they have found a new vocalist to replace Tarja Turunen:

"There has been again false news about (the new) Nightwish vocalist in some medias, at least in Finland. There have not been any decisions made concerning the vocalist and there will not be any before year 2007. When the band will choose the vocalist they will inform all medias about it.

Once again: Do not trust any news if it´s not found at http://www.nightwish.com!"
