Bolt Thrower - Drummer Martin "Kiddie" Kearns Dead At Age 38

Unfortunately, there are terrible news from the Bolt Thrower camp today. This past Monday, September 14th, British death metal pioneers Bolt Thrower's drummer Martin "Kiddie" Kearns has passed away unexpectedly. He was only thirty-eight years old and passed away peacefully in his sleep. According to the Black Conjuration Fest, the band's upcoming Australian tour has now been cancelled given these tragic circumstances.

Epica - Drop Off North American Tour

After cancelling a few shows in North America before, Epica are now forced to drop off their North America tour entirely. The tour will continue without them with the other bands on the bill, Eluveitie and The Agonist. As for Epica, they will reschedule the North American tour in support of The Quantum Enigma for the beginning of next year.

Waltari - Touring Drummer Announced

Waltari's drummer, Ville Vehviläinen, will be forced to stay at home during the band's next European tour due to his recovery from a knee surgery. Atte Palokangas of Before The Dawn and Agonizer fame will be drumming in his place in the Finnish band. On this European tour, Waltari will perform in Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, Switzerland and Slovakia.

Ecnephias - Bassist Leaves The Band

Ecnephias have parted ways with bass player Miguel José Mastrizzi, and the split was amicable. The Italian metallers went on to wish him all the best in the future and thank his contribution to the band. Moreover, the gothic/death metal band is considering new musicians and soon will probably reveal their new bassist.

One Machine - New Video Online

Onslaught - New Guitarist Joins Ranks

U.K. thrashers Onslaught have recruited guitarist Iain GT Davies as the full-time replacement for absentee Andy Rosser Davies. Despite the new band member, it's not a complete split and Andy will remain part of the team behind the scenes and will be contributing material to the next record. The band is already planning their new album.

Communic - Announce Debut Album Anniversary Show

While Communic haven't released a new album in a while, the progressive metallers will be celebrating their past this year. They are playing a 10th anniversary concert at Buen, Mandal, Norway on December 5th. It is now 10 years since the trio released their debut album Conspiracy In Mind. To celebrate this event with a special concert on December 5th 2015, the band will be accompanied by several guests who join them on stage and will make the concert something special. This will be a close to 2 hours long concert in their hometown of Mandal, Norway.

Iron Maiden - Announce First Tour Dates, Dickinson Demoed Solo Songs

Today there is both news from Iron Maiden as well as its singer Bruce Dickinson solo band. Dickinson has revealed that he has already demoed six songs for his new solo album. It's the first update about his solo project in 10 years and since latest album Tyranny Of Souls (2005). Epica - Cancel Four North American Shows

After announcing that keyboardist Coen Janssen would sit out their upcoming North American tour, Epica have more bad news for their fans. The Dutch band has been forced to cancel a few of their shows on this tour, in Quebec City, Toronto, Chicago, and Minneapolis. The band promises an update soon but unfortunately, Simone Simons has to deal with a serious situation in her close family.

Destructor - New Label Deal

After announcing their new bassist, Destructor have just signed with Pure Steel Records. The U.S. speed/thrash metallers are working on the first new album since 2007's Forever In Leather. Destructor have signed a 3-album deal with Pure Steel Records. They will release the material of Back In Bondage for the first time and in remastered style. Then a complete new album as well. The album title and more details will surface in the near future.
