Beneath - New Album Details Unveiled

Icelandic death metallers Beneath have finally revealed the details about their second album. The follow-up to Enslaved By Fear is titled The Barren Throne and will be released on Unique Leader Records on April 29th. You can take a look at the album cover and tracklist below. Scorpion Child - New Drummer Announced

Scorpion Child have added a new face to their lineup: drummer Jon "Charn" Rice, formerly of death metallers Job For A Cowboy. He replaces Shawn Paul Alvear. Guitarist Tom Frank is also no longer in the band.

Death Angel - Release New Video

"Left For Dead", the new video from San Francisco Bay Area thrash metallers Death Angel, has been unveiled. The clip was directed by Tommy Jones, who has previously worked with Soilwork and Testament, among others. The song is taken from the band's recently released seventh studio album The Dream Calls For Blood, and comes on the verge of their upcoming tour with Children Of Bodom. Threshold - New Album Update

Threshold have issued an update from the studio. The progressive metal band is currently recording their tenth album at Thin Ice Studios in Surrey, England. All the drum and bass parts have been recorded and work is now underway on guitars and keyboards. The as yet untitled album is due for release on Nuclear Blast Records later this year.

Flotsam & Jetsam - Re-Recorded Songs Streaming Online

Thrash metal veterans Flotsam & Jetsam will release No Place For Disgrace 2014, a re-recording of the band's second album No Place For Disgrace, on February 14th in Europe and digitally on February 18th in North America via Metal Blade Records. The physical CD will be available in North America on March 4th. Recently, the band made available online all of the re-recorded songs at their ReverbNation page. Check out "The Jones (2014)", "P.A.A.B. (2014)", "Misguided Fortune (2014)", and "I Live You Die (2014)", among many others now.

Resurrection - New Label, New Album And Tour

There will be some more death metal coming to you this year courtesy of Resurrection. The long-running Floridian death metal outfit has signed with Old School Metal Records. The deal will see the release of the band's first full-length since 2008's Mistaken For Dead. Due out in March, Soul Descent - March Of Death will be released in conjunction with the March Of Death European Tour. The tour kicks off on March 14th in Germany and will take the band through Germany, Belgium, The Netherlands, Czech Republic and Poland.

Epica - First New Album Details Announced

Dutch symphonic metallers Epica have finally unveiled what the "TQE" stands for in their new album title. The first details have been revealed and we know now that their 6th studio album is called The Quantum Enigma. Furthermore, the exact release dates will be: May 2nd in Europe, May 5th in the UK and May 13th in the USA via Nuclear Blast Records.

Brutal Truth - New Video Online, European Festival Dates

Following the recent news that Brutal Truth will be calling it a day and hanging up their grinding shoes this October, the band started to announce their final European shows. The four-piece will play several more dates throughout the year, some of which have already been announced - including their final appearance on British soil. They'll play Temples Festival this May alongside the likes of Electric Wizard, Neurosis, Tombs, Clutch and many more. Also, their new video for "The Stroy" can be seen below.

Satan - Confirm First Ever North American Tour

NWOBHM legends Satan just announced their first ever North America tour. The UK band released their comeback album Life Sentence last year (nominated for Best Heavy / Melodic Metal Album on Metal Storm Awards 2013) and will be doing now their Life Sentence Over North America 2014 tour. The trek starts on April 11th at Black Bear Bar in Brooklyn, NY and wraps up at The Metro Gallery in Baltimore, MD.

Danzig - Legacy TV Special Completed

All post work on Glenn Danzig's Danzig Legacy TV special, filmed in May 2012 in Glendale, California with director Mark Brooks (Adult Swim's "Metalocalypse"), is now complete. Brooks and Danzig have finished all editing and post EFX and "it came out epic," according to a posting on Danzig's official Facebook page.

The Swedes Meshuggah have been quiet lately and are secretly preparing their celebrations for the 25 years since their first official release. Tomas Haake has updated today on what the band plans to do for their quarter of a century. The band will be doing a few select 25th anniversary festival dates and promises some official releases even though they are not disclosing what exactly those will be as of now.
