The Spanish veterans Tierra Santa have just finished the making of their forthcoming long player. Dubbed Un Viaje Épico, it will land in stores on the 29th of November 2024 via Maldito Records. The album was recorded, mixed and mastered at Sonido XXI studios in Esparza de Galar (Navarra) by Javier San Martín. You can give a spin to the first single, "Un Viaje Épico", via YouTube below. After the release, the band will embark on a worldwide tour, starting this December in Spain.

After the departure of former drummer Jorge "El Estapario Siberiano" Garrido, Spanish heavy metal band Saratoga took a few weeks to look for a new permanent band member. Via Facebook video, they have announced that Arnau Martí, known for playing in Noctem and Rebel Souls, will join the ranks as the new drummer.

After 7 years of collaboration, Thundermother lead guitar player Filippa Nässil shared news connected to the line-up changes within the ranks. Following vocalist Guernica Mancini's departure, both Emelie "Emlee" Johansson, drummer, and Mona DeMona, bass player, decided to quit the band and follow Guernica into a new project. At the same time, Filippa revealed Linnéa Vikström (The Experiment No.Q, Therion, etc.) as the new replacement on vocals as well as Majsan Lindber on bass. The latter rejoins after a year and a half of absence due to studying responsibilities.

Civil War have posted some news regarding recent changes in their line-up. Firstly, guitar player and founding member Oskar Montelius decided to leave the band due to personal reasons. As he states in the main website, he is leaving not only the band, but also guitar playing, at least for the moment. At the same time, Civil War decided to part ways with bass player Stefan "Pizza" Eriksson. Finally, the power metallers have also announced that they will not look for any replacements.

After former vocalist Federica "Wild Sister" De Boni came back, the Italian power metal band White Skull has been working on their new album. Finally, the band announced that their new album will be entitled Under This Flag. They also confirmed that the band entered the studio on November 3rd to begin recording the new album to be released sometime during 2012.

The band posted the following on their official Facebook page: "The band will enter the studio on 3 November to begin work on new album, the title will be Under This Flag. In the near future other news."

The Spanish metal band Mägo De Oz posted a message on their official website letting people know that after ten consecutive tours through Europe and America, they will be taking a break for almost the whole 2012 in order to refresh their ideas before starting the preparation for a new album. Meanwhile, they will keep playing the last shows of the Epílogo-Naringólogo tour in Europe and South America. The band says a big "hasta luego" (see you later) to their fans worldwide.

After revealing that their new bass player will be Igor Díez, former guitar player of Kalte, the Basque heavy metal band Su Ta Gar detailed their forthcoming new album. It will be entitled Ametsak Pilatzen and it will be released next October. The first single of the album, "Norbera Bere Ametsen Jabe", is available for streaming at this location.

Spanish heavy metal veterans Barón Rojo, who formed back in 1980, will continue their 30 Aniversario Tour next year. For a full list of 2011 tour dates, head over here.

To commemorate this historic event, the band started working on a movie, picturing the 30 years of history of the band, from the very beginning of the band till their 30th anniversary tour which started earlier this year. This will be the first time a Spanish heavy metal band will get their own movie. The movie is expected to air somewhere at the end of next year.

The band has now posted a message asking their fans to send in any material that could help the band to complete this new ambitious project. More info is available (in Spanish) at this location.

2010 has been a bad year, also for Italian power metal outfit White Skull. During the last couple of months the band suffered from some severe line-up changes and lost three of its members, as bassist Gio Raddi, keyboard player Alessio Lucatti (Vision Divine) as well as vocalist Elisa de Palma parted ways with the band.

The remaining members of White Skull have now announced they will introduce their new line-up next week, December 18. Stay tuned for further updates!
