Really great gothic doom album indeed. Spun it twice so far. Will see whether it stays an 8 or not, as I might end up upvoting it to a 9.

Josep, who says he is boycotting your album? He is giving it a fair chance.
I would be one to usually run away from your sort of music because of the gothic influences, but I am one who is totally fond of 'Forthcoming Displeasures' and "Compassion Forlorn', not so much of 'Fragments' though even though I thought you guys were great at Dutch Doom Days 2007 where I saw you play and thought you were great but, unfortunately, your album, which I bought the day you played, disappointed me quite a bit.

Hey dude! I mean with some votes, not with Erik, at all! I just say that I would never vote against a band only to see one of my fav bands or even my band on top, you know?
And thanks for your quick review! We were very young when we recorded "Fragments" . Take care and see you soon!

The last two songs are some of the best they've wrote.

Not really a fan of Gothic/Doom, but Helevorn have always been the exception for me, and they don't fail to impress here again. Very solid album.

Indeed I did, as I have listened to it 5-10 times already and I think it's worthy of about an 8.5. I'll leave my 8 vote for now but it can still go up to a 9. Not all songs are equally great to me, but I especially love the first three songs.

It's a nice album, it's not that much extreme and it is an awesome album of choice to introduce people to melodic/gothic doom with a very catchy music and awesome vocals it makes a cold and powerful scene which is completed with good lyrics

Awesome album. wasn't expecting this to be that good.
The last song sounds a bit like a better version of Forever is the World by Theatre of Tragedy, and I can't get enough of it. so simple, yet so gripping.

A beautiful record. I think I like Compassion Forlorn even more than Forthcoming Displeasures.
I'm glad that there are still bands that create such high quality gothic/doom metal, taking inspiration from the classics of the genre, yet creating their new and unique blend.
My favourite tracks: Burden Me, Delusive Eyes, I Am to Blame, Reason Dies Last, Els Dies Tranquils.

Bloody hell, they keep getting better with every album, breathtaking vocals and fantastic instrumentals, it sets a heavy atmosphere that fill you with longing and sorrow...and joy for the wonderful music. Can't praise Helevorn enough!
