The production is alright. If the bass guitar is mostly not audible to them, then perhaps they need to get their ears checked. The guitar soli are also solid.
Some songs are just missing some extra parts like a good refrain or some creepy atmosphere. Biggest example is probably The Noose. Almost the same riffs from start to finish. In the last 20 seconds something new happens, but it's much too late.

First I was very disappointed, because i expected Jack Owen to contribute much better. Maybe something like Scourge of Iron wise from CannibalCorpse. Killer song.

After some spins this album grew on me, though.

I don't think I've heard death metal this terrible in a looooooooooooong time. Amputator is ok song, but then everything falls apart completely with Zodiac, where the band actually had balls to highlight the awful vocals with some quiet parts. The only redeeming quality with this album is its amusing cheesiness.

I never liked cannibal corpse. Even after corpse grinder joined the band. This is my first time listening to six feet under because to be honest I just never wanted to hear them considering how notoriously bad they've sound from others and the graveyard classics. I only heard about this band because Chris Barnes use to be in cannibal corpse so I thought, how bad can this be?

Chris Barnes is so fucking terrible. What the hell was that EEEE high note? This voice sounds so decrepit and he was off tempo, and he ran out of breath... It's such a mess.

Not even the music saves me on this because Barnes vocals are visible and I can hear the generic lyrics. Not surprised this came from metal blade records because they've been pretty bad with promoting the right bands considering the batushka controversy. Metal blade just went to a new low, because this is one of the worst things I've ever heard.

Prime example of an album that have been totally ruined by the vocals. I actually kind of enjoyed the riffing and overall songwriting. Nothing exceptional, but absolutely trashed by a breathless, crusty hobo ...

I don't understand. My memory of Barnes is from CC Eats Moscow Alive, and I really love his vocals then. What happened? I think the production is to blame too, for it to be so apparently terrible.

Wait? So this is even worse than that Graveyard Classics IV album they released a couple of years ago?

Now I kinda want to listen to it just out of curiosity.

IMO the last one for me was Illud Divinum Insanus by Morbid Angel ( If I doesn't count all the graveyard classic all those album are pure garbage) and now this new one by Six Feet Under .... I put to much hope in Jack Owen

There is no way whoever was involved in making of this album thought when they finished it 'Fuck yeah, this is great'. They knew it was bad and they released it anyway. The blocking of comments on social media is the best proof. So milking a cash cow. The cover for this album reflects the music perfectly, it's shit. And the vocals... I guess there is such a thing as too much weed Chris!

It's not that bad. It's just lazy and uninspired and the vocals are funny, but the album entertains me a lot. With a couple of beers this is almost good music.

Honestly, Chris Barnes' vocals have sucked sinced The Bleeding. The quality downgrade frrom TOTM to that album was huge, and it just got worse with every Six Feet Under album.

Exactly. He was never a great vocalist to begin with but at least he was tolerable at the start.

It's bad album but still better then True Carnage, that album is pure bullshit.

Unfortunatelly this one is also below expectations - seems like my last hopes are dying, for a band that means a lot to me.
However the Apmputator is a killer song!
