After a couple of listens to the album, I'm honestly surprised. I didn't expect the album to be so consistent. Most melodies, solos, riffs, chorus work really well. I find the album better than Eternal, and a bit close to being as good as Nemesis, which for me was the band's masterpiece in the new era. So all in all really well done album. These guys are really still going strong after all these years, and they are probably the most consistent power metal band

One rare case when long album is good, ist it me or i dont recognize Timo Kotipelto vocals? He sings so lov as quited, somehow is it bad budget album? But its good, catcghy windy melodies, good music, good lyrics all well mixed in one. Nothing can beats first 2 and 1th whit Timo, bnut to me this might be their best after ''Infinite'' album.

A very good record, one of the best power metal releases of the year which is very unsurprising tbh, as we know exactly what this band is capable of. They are one of the few power metal bands that have a fairly consistent discography, and have released some pretty solid records, this album could well be up there with their best imo.

The vocals are still top notch, the songwriting is of much higher quality than most power metal bands these days, the guitarwork is excellent, and there is an endless amount of catchy melodies and memorable moments. Most importantly there's no over the top cheesiness about it.

"Demand", "Survive", and "Frozen In Time", are quality tracks imo, but the main stand outs for me are "Voice Of Thunder", "Firefly" and "Glory Days", which are up there with the best the band has ever written imho.

Really solid album, IMO is better than Eternal, but doesn't reach the level of Nemesis. It has some memorable songs, and some of them are very catchy, but i feel it's a little monotonous, some songs feels alike.

I'm pleasantly surprised how good and enjoyable this album is.

Agree, and the average rating's been going down very steadily.

The songs are just good enough to be distinguishable, but just *not* good enough for me to really want to return to any tracks, with perhaps the exception of "We Are Not Alone." It feels to me like they've been on a downward trajectory since after Nemesis (my fav of theirs). At this point, they have their formula and they know it works, and I just can't imagine that we'll get a masterpiece from them moving forward, probably just more albums in the 6 to 8 score range.

Yeah that’s what I hate about a lot of metalheads. It’s not bad because it’s genuinely bad, it’s bad because it’s pop!

This is sounding so much better than Eternal. Really digging it, especially the music, really solid, innovative, modern while keeping the Strato spirit alive.
Even Timo Kotipelto seems to have better vocals than in Eternal.

This album is so good, with some excellent prog riffs as well as good choruses and solos. May well be the best PM album of the year.

Well, it was a nice listening, but evidently the band is weighed down by the pass of time. They had to adapt their sound to the actual Kotipelto's vocal range (if only Tolkki wouldn't have exploited him in the Elements era )

Pretty good album actually. Doesn't really sound like the neoclassical 90s Strato, but they upped the bombast a bit.

To be honest, they dropped their neoclassical influence long ago, with the release of Elysium.

That makes sense, since I stopped listening to Stratovarius around that time.

I take it you haven't heard of Amaranthe or Beast In Black, now those are pop metal acts.

Yes. Amaranthe is the most POP metal band.

My first contact with Stratovarius and I'm positively surprised. I can see this getting many listens overtime, seems like good car music too.

Pretty good songs here, I don't like power metal too much and I really liked the album. This year there's going to be big fight between blind guardian and stratovarius in the awards.
