There are some moments in this album that reminds me of Brave Murder Day ,or am I wrong ?
Do you have any specific moments/songs in mind? Personally it reminds me rather a Daylight Dies's work, especially their last albums. To this a little similarity to Rapture. But above all - Atoma/ Slumber - with a characteristic Jari Lindholm's "space resonance". Personally I didn't associate with BMD. But this doesn't mean that it's not

Yeah, the intro of Stream of Light and at least the first half of Above Us.
Also hearing some Katatonia at the beginning of Cinders (My Twin / The Longest year ?).

Wow, this is really good. Wish I had checked it out sooner; I avoided it because of the Gothic tag, but it's really not so Gothic imo. More like either Atmospheric Doom or Melodic Death/Doom. Granted though I'm no expert at all on "Gothic metal" or "Doom metal", so I will have to check with some of my Doomster peeps if "Gothic" is really the right tag for this.

This is purely gothic metal with some melodic doom metal in it, nothing more.

But do you like this Marcel? I am in love with this. It's something very new and refreshing from what I am used to.

extremely average and quite bland and I don't find it refreshing or very new at all. Putting some post rock in a gothic metal album which has somedoom in it, so? What's so refreshing about that? You could say Rapture and SLumber had also already done that and those two bands are better than Enshine though still not great at all.
But then again you also find Steak Number Eght (of course operating in a different genre) refreshing and quite new

Well dammit. With Enshine and SN8 I am trying to get you into some other types of metal. Don't get me wrong, we could listen to our favorite doom and post metal stuff all day. I want to expand our horizons!

Steak Number Eight is standard post-metal and Enshine standard gothic metal with some melodic doom and one or two seconds of post rock thrown in. I am into more than enough sorts of metal anyway. Looking at your taste in metal and mine I would dare say I have a broader taste in metal than you.
I listen to everything from old school heavy metal to us power metal to speed metal to early European power to pic heavy metal to epic doom to black doom to funeral doom to death doom to traditional doom to symphonic black to raw black to orthodox black to melodic black to technical black to black death to old school death to some technical death to thrash to techno thrash to groove thrash to thrash punk crossover to funk metal to proper rap metal to post metal to some glam metal to sludge metal to stoner metal to sleaze metal to aor etc

Are you at least looking forward to hearing the new Fates Warning album?

Fates Warning I have given up on after Inside Out which I already didn't enjoy any more. Their first three were great though too Miaden inspired, my favourite is still No Exit

Most recent albums are disappointments to you it seems. Or you're just hard to please (harder than most people, that's for sure, hahaha).

Didn't remember much doom in it atleast the doomy doom that is. Was mostly gothic melodic doom kind of stuff and some melodeath. But the synths are put to some good use here.

I didn't realize this was Slumber/Atoma guitarist till coming to comment on it. I keep going back to this album again and again , now I'm not surprised why. I like it better than Atoma but not quite as much as Slumber.

This album needs really your gratz. It is a fantastic work as every other release by Atoma/Slumber. All the tracks keep the same high composing quality, in other words it is interesting from the first to the last second. If all those bands where one project with all those full albums they would had a bigger audience. They for sure need our support.

Stream of Light, Cinders, Above Us, Constellation and Brighter stand among my favorite Death Doom tracks right now. Amazing amazing record. A modern day death doom masterpiece.

Don't get the hype with this band, given this many spins but it's nothing special, vocals too soft, guitars lack punch. Sure some nice melodies here and there but that's about it!
