I didn't know what to expect when seeing that this album had considerably shorter songs that their first two albums,but once i listened to 'discouraged ones' i knew that katatonia were still the brilliant katatonia,no matter how long their songs are. awesome album,but it can get slightly tedious at times.

I just bought this album yesterday, and it is probably one of the best albums i've heard from this amazing band (Up there with Viva Emptiness, and Great Cold Distance). It truly is one of the most emotionally powerful albums I have heard from the band (that's saying a lot). Many of the vocal passages are among the most haunting I have ever heard from Jonas Renkse and the songs are hypnotic. Also the drum sound has very much improved over the very clicky (IMO) drum sound of Brave Murder Day.

My favorite Katatonia album, always great to get back to it.

I became an adult listening to this masterpiece. I had very miserable but also very high and sexy moments to the sound of Saw You Drown. Their best for me.

This is Gold!

Such a great follow-up to Brave Murder Day, in fact I prefer this. I really admire the vocals most of all, there's such a depressive tone with raw emotion.
