I don't really know about the Prophet Bilal but I know that the Imam is not a prophet at all, after the death of Ali (R) and the saddening massacre of his son and family,and the betrayal of AlHussein(Ali's son) by the Shites of Karbala,the shites felt guilt and remorse,which is still displayed in the Achoura day every year in some bloody way.
The followers started to take Imams from his descendants,and descendants from the house of Muhammad(S),because they believed that the leadership of the Empire should be given to someone among those who were related to the prophet,and it worked that way,until the 12th Imam,who had disappeared and yet the Shites are still waiting for him to come back..and still punishing themselves for the death of Hussein
But still,as I said,Islam as a religion is not devided into Sunni and Shite Islam,it's one religion, all muslims love Ali (R) (but the shites extremely adore him) because he was a great and wise man, and they all do the same prayers and rituals,the difference is historical and political.

@ dimholt:I myself was atheist but God proselytised me eventually.

I really really hate shias behavior in Moharram. they punish themselves with chains and even with knife and ... and they don't know why they are doing this and I never care about Proselytism.

This thread really annoys me because of the fact Satanism isn't considered legitimate by the thread creator. I know everyone has said it already, but this thread needs to be remade with much better choices.

Catholic for my own. (Well i try to be)

We don't know if god exists or not, we can either belive in it or not. But we can't say "I know that god exists" or "I know that there is no god". As for me, I don't belive in a god like it's preached in the bible or koran, for obvious reasons. It's idiotic in my eyes, to belive in a book, written by men, which claims to know how the earth and everything around it got created and how "God" is the supreme ruler and creator of the entire universe. It sounds so fucking stupid, and yet people belive in it. And the inconsistencies in thouse books, who preach you to kill god's enemys but 30 pages further it preaches you to accept everybody with their opinion, it's hilarious. But still, when I look at the earth, at the animals, at our history and out of this earth, when I look at all the stars and the unbelivable dimensions of our universe, then I just can't belive that we're just an coincidence made up by time or anything else. So I belive that we and everything around us was created, name it god or whatever you want, but I don't know if this spirit is still existent or not, I don't know what will come after death, I don't know anything about this topic, nor does anyone else on this earth, we are lost in this life, trying to survive, just to die, and then we will see, or not, what the fuck it's all about. Anyway, I'm against any form of monotheism, against christianity, islam and judaism, but if you want to belive in it, fine, it's not my problem when this people shrink their acts.

There are some religions I'm very intersted in, like Buddhism and Neopaganism. I can't be a neo-pagan, because I don't belive in gods. And Buddhism, well I don't belive that you can live as an real buddhist in my country, because buddhism teaches you that possession is wrong, but without possession of money and all that other stuff, you can't live here.

I vote for Others... I believe in God... But in my own way... for me, Religions are another word for Politic stuff... and for the weaks.
And I hate that because the relgions in the world.... you can't do what ever you like...
For example eat meat, don't show your face... that's stupid IMO
For me... Religion is important to me... only because I want to learn about the culture and history of the world.

I'm Agnostic. But there are a lot of agnostic stiles...
For me:

Strong Agnostic : the view that the question of the existence or nonexistence of an omnipotent God and the nature of ultimate reality is unknowable by reason of our natural inability to verify any experience with anything but another subjective experience.

Agnostic Theism : the view of those who do not claim to know existence of God or gods, but still believe in such an existence.

In other words... For me it's impossible to say "There is a God" or "There isn't a God"...
I just say "I BELIEVE/THINK that There is a God or Gods"

as for the persons like Jesus, Mohammed and so on...
For me they are revolutionaries... mans that had interesting ideas, but like a utopi, only...

I follow the left-hand path, rejeckting the emphasis ov original guilt and abstinence, embracing life. I direckt my energy towards perceived individualism and the inherent social Darwinism. I do not deny the indulgence that precedes these beliefs...

As a matter of fact, putting Buddhism with Hinduism is like putting Christianity with Judaism - not a good fit at all! Also you totally missed Sikhism, which is one of the predominant world religions. If you didn't have enough space, why not put Catholicism, Protestantism and Orthodox together under Christianity? And lastly, why is atheism even on the list? It's a philosophy, not a religion.

While I'm not meaning to give you a hard time K7, I'm assuming you are Christian because your list is biased toward the Judeo-Christian religions and you've given atheism more credit than it's due by even including it.

I consider myself an agnostic because there is no reason for me to believe there is such a thing as God since there is no evidence that suggests such a thing. I am an atheist when it comes to Bible god and the Abrahamic religion deities but the god of deism and Spinoza I remain agnostic about. The possibility is unlikely that exists too but at least is there.
