I heard quite a lot about this band, and downloaded their recent album Genesis to see what the fuss was about. It turned out to be one of the most boring death metal albums I've ever listened to, it just doesn't go anywhere! I guess the fanbase consisting of hardcore-dancing shit-haired scene kids says a lot as well! Saw the band with Black Dahlia Murder last week, and their performance did no justice for me whatsoever (BDM were ace though).
So what's the big deal? Any fans here? What's your view on their music? Their deathcore stuff sounded pretty shit as well, yawn!

It's a real shame, cowboys could be really metal. If I had any technical skill with any true metal instrument (a classification that has been overwhelmed by folk metal), I would probably try to use some Ennio Morricone-esque riffs, a bit like what Metallica did on the Black album but way more metal.

These guys bug the shit out of me. They release a gay debut, called 'Doom'. Makes me puke. Then releases a great Death Metal achievment called, "Genisis" And now some weird noise, that i cant even describe called, "Ruination"????

Job For A Cowboy is completely overrated as a metal band. There is a track here or there that is mediocre at best. If you listen to 'Genesis,' you don't know where one track ends and another begins, except for the opening of "The Divine Falsehood" ... 'Doom' sucked, PERIOD. It seems to be the same with their most recent release- it's the exact same thing all over again. If you ask me the guys in Vehemence never should have parted ways to begin with, and just kept releasing better material than this new grindcore, over-distorted, noise shit that JFAC, White Chapel, and other similar bands are doing. It's annoying as shit, and giving metal a bad reputation.

Yea i simply cannot stand this band...its all trend...no substance. blahhhhh saw them with behemoth...they had gojira as openers...i ofcourse thought gojira stold the show...even better than behemoth!

For me Gojira is like opening a window in a toilet of repeatable extreme metal, Behemoth has nothimg to say and nothing would change in nearest future for sure. JFAC is two or three good songs in a sea of average, nothing special especially after they went to classic death metal way - theyre one along tousends, nothing more. In fact - hugely overrated.

Genesis are death metal godz! Not like deathcore at allz! But seriously, I've seen JFAC like 6 times (unfortunately they always seem to open for good bands) and not only do their albums suck, but their live sound is garbage too.
