And quite consistently I might add. If you didn't like his previous albums, there was never any reason to expect you'll like the new one. None of his music is crap, however. Hard to digest, yes; lost in details at times, yes; better and worse albums, yes. But overall there's much to like in his work over the years, even for old Emperor fans. Edit: One more thing: Emperor belong to the select few bands who quit before things went downhill. Nobody really cares about Immortal's All Shall Fall, the last Dissection, or anything by Burzum after Filosofem. Knowing when to stop is a good thing that I still applaud Emperor for.
