Top 11 Favourite Metal Albums Of 2000

Iron Maiden have made more appearances in these than any other band so far and this is the first time they got the number one spot in one of my lists. Congratulations guys, it took 20 years but you finally did it! A career high point, no doubt.
 Also includes: another poser alert!  (But I stand by it and be honest, half of us millennials probably found this music thanks to that album.) Ah yes, the year of my birth! Nice to see Immolation and Halford  I'm planning to listen to Nevermore... For this year my favorites that are missing here are: Day Into Night by Quo Vadis Follow the Reaper by Children Of Bodom V: The New Mythology Suite by Symphony X

Definitely not as good a year as 1999 but still some pretty cool stuff, although we seem to only have Immolation in common. Mayhem and Fleurety both strayed away from their original style into some weirder and more avantgarde territories and both releases were great. In addition, Electric Wizard, Discordance Axis, Forgotten Silence and Boris all released really cool albums this year.

Written by F3ynman2000 on 28.11.2021 at 20:42 Damn, you young. I’m pretty new to Nevermore myself but I very much recommend that album even as someone who hasn’t heard that much from them. I haven’t heard those three albums, I’m afraid. Bands I’m kind of on the fence about, shall we say.

Cool list, lots of diverse choices Unfortunately I haven't really listened yo much of Nevermore yet, but I will get around to it, my top 5 for this year would be: 1. Saturnus - Martyre 2. Quo Vadis - Day Into Night 3. Iron Maiden - Brave New World 4. Vader - Litany 5. Cradle Of Filth - Midian

Written by AndyMetalFreak on 20.12.2021 at 10:30 I was pleasantly surprised that Dead Heart in a Dead World lived up to the hype, highly recommend giving it a listen. Nice choices, I haven’t heard the first two but Saturnus is one I am interested in hearing.
