Haven't listened to the new Evoken, but i've read nice reviews on it. Didn't you like it?

I have and I found it to be pretty solid but I've decided to give it a little break and get back on it later as I wanted to dedicate as much time as this album deserves. Same case with the new MDB

Added some of the albums I've been recently listening to, I can't see any other 2012 album making it to the top 10 (Unless Igorrr is really as good as JOOE claims it to be)
will trim it down to a top 30 list in a couple of weeks or so.

Well you have WHOURKR at 22 so clearly you aren't adverse to that kind of music, and the Igorrr record is A LOT better than the WHOURKR one (which is still quite good).

Yey ... more awesome music for me
Flourishing, Ortega and Amenra will most likely make it to the top 30 and below the top 15 the ranking is all messed up.

Yours is about the most solid top 15 on the site right now. With a few tweaks, it could be mine. (Metal, that is.) Haven't heard that Aevangelist though, should look it up. Good to see appreciation for Profetus, I feel it was relatively overlooked in favor of some other extreme doom releases. (Given that they're a pretty established band.) I liked it a lot better than Evoken or Worship.

Aevangelist is really dense and original Death Metal, the overall atmosphere has a lot in common with Mitochondrian and at times is even more morbid.

Agreed, Profetus's album is indeed better than the latest Evoken and Worship, the addition of the clean vocals on the third song was right on the money

Heard the latest Nadja studio LP, Dagdrom? It's pretty nice too, but the Excision compilation was pretty uninteresting.

Yes surely, I quite liked it but I still prefer The Primitive World over it. I can see it making the final cut though.

I prefer The Primitive World as well, but Dragdom was very good in its own right

btw, have you forgotten about Monolithe III?

O_o totally. Although I've gotta say that my first impression was a small disappointment but I think I wasn't quite in the mood for it.

Yeah, I was a bit disappointed with them scaling back the unique oddity of Interlude Second, but it's still good as far as extreme doom goes. Half a star behind the EP, though.

Was a hard time trimming it down to only 30 records so I had to do something about it Really pleased with the music of 2012 especially that it gave me a new Satrunus album, the final part of BaN's brilliant trilogy and a bunch of awesome surprises.

I can't help but notice the serious lack of Agruss here which wa easily the best debut to me... Other than that, quite a solid list indeed.

Agruss was one of mu major misses last year, listened to it a lot since the awards and it gets a solid 9 easily and a high spot on the list ... was thinking about adding a couple of albums the list, Agruss and Deftones (which also blew me away)

I rarely thumb up year-lists, but due to Saturnus and Dordeduh (and others, but less important ones) I like this one. But it's kind of weird not seeing Falling Leaves' album on here. Just listened to it and easily one of the best albums of 2012 if you ask me (haven't listened to a lot of stuff that year, but still ).

Edit: yes, just read you don't like that album a lot, so that explains it I guess. I'll give it a few more spins to judge it properly.
