Wow, many favourites of mine to be found here. Great list. We have rather similar taste it seems, as doom metal is my favourite subgenre (I have a few lists that might be interesting to you as well ).

I am familiar with almost half of these albums and they are awesome. Thumbs up for that empyioum album. It really is emotionally intense and almost brings me in tears every time I listen to it.
I know that it is meant to be according to your personal taste but there is no spot here for shape of despair?

O.o I'm almost sure I had Angels of Distress in the top 20 when making the list, strange! must have been when I was changing spots that it got dropped off ... Apparently I also dropped out Skepticism in the procees :|

I'll have to check these ones out, there's a few here I really enjoy. I find Voidwards in particular is a really unique doom album. I think I'll give Wine From Tears a try first.
And regarding Procession I've only had a few listens to their new one and I have to say it sounds great so far!

Wine From Tears debut is miles ahead the new one they put out this year, was really disappointed with it. Procession, on the other hand, lived on to the expectations with their new one but I still prefer the debut.

There is some good doom on this list, and a lot of doom that I haven't heard yet. This list is massive, so thanks.

Wish I could get into this stuff. I've tried it but if my doom isn't lathered in other genres of music I dig I.E. 4o Watt Sun, Eibon, Process Of Guilt, I just don't get it.

Doom is not really my thing, but maybe I should reconsider that. Nice list.
One thing, though. Paragon Of Dissonance appears twice.

How about trying some Epic doom ? Candlemass, Isole and Procession are massive.

hahaha I know I just meant that for the past few weeks I haven't checked any new music , meaning that I've been off the Lists' Threads for quite a while.
I'm so psyched about breaking bad ... I'm still on season 3 and I'm enjoying the shit out of it.
Okay, I understand. That's too bad though, but Breaking Bad is one of the best shows ever if you ask me and I definitely understand you're psyched about it. I'm up-to-date and I can tell you you're in for a treat since (in my opinion) season 4 is the best out of all seasons (coupled with season 2) and especially the last half of that season is totally brilliant and suspenseful. Anyway, thanks for the on my lists.

I only thumb up awesome lists
Haha, thanks a lot man. This list is awesome as well, many excellent albums on here as well as a nice diversity (but I totally disagree with the order to be honest, but that's not a big deal). Though I must admit not being entirely satisfied with my most recent list (and the relatively (looking at the amount of views) low amount of thumbs up also show that) but that's pretty much always the case with my lists in the beginning. Anyway, I have a few suggestions for this list (which is all 9.5-10/10 material for me):
- Desire - Locus Horrendus - The Night Cries of a Sullen Soul (dark melodic death doom)
- Uaral - Sounds of Pain (folk doom)
- Disembowelment - Transcendence Into The Peripheral (death doom)
- Slumber - Fallout (melodic death doom)
I can give way more suggestions, but I purposely ignored albums by bands that are already on this list (those being Empyrium, Draconian, Shape of Despair, Saturnus, Officium Triste and Mourning Beloveth).

I'm not really big on Desire, I know lots of my Doomster friends cream over them but I never saw the big deal though it's been a while since I last listened to them so I might give them a spin.
Quote: - Uaral - Sounds of Pain (folk doom)
Sounds of Pain would be in the top 20 if I ever made an all time favorite albums list, but though I do consider them Doom I didn't see how they'd fit in the list ... might add them in the near future.
Quote: - Disembowelment - Transcendence Into The Peripheral (death doom)
Haven't given this album the time it deserves yet ... dunno why since it crushed me after the first couple of listens
Quote: - Slumber - Fallout (melodic death doom)
Slumber was actually in the first draft of this list but didn't make the final cut, if I ever stretched the list to a top 50 they'd surely make it along with another Saturnus, Mar De Grises and Shape of Despair albums.

I see... well, I'd go for a top 50 if I were you. Your list of course, so not my decision to make.
By the way, the ones that would be my #1 albums from the bands I mentioned (in that same order) would be A Wintersunset..., Where Lovers Mourn, Shades Of..., Paradise Belongs to You, Reason and The Sullen Sulcus. Yes, it seems I have thing for debut albums, seeing as the first 4 mentioned albums are all debuts.
