I just know that there will be a lot more Esoctrilihum albums this year, but this time it started really early.

I have listened some Esoctrilihum albums before so it was no surprise this was a bit weird but interesting. Vocals are a turnoff in some parts which prevents me giving this 8. I think Pact was the best song. Album cover art is pretty nice.

There's some interesting soundscapes and instrumentation here and there, but the repetitiveness starts to get way out of hand, making most tracks become a slog, the chanting like vocals are mostly to blame for that but the harsh vocals don't impress me all that much either, so not a winner here for me unfortunately

The mix on this pretty much killed any chance I had in enjoying this. The high end on those cymbals is fucking obnoxious.

Because Esoctrilihum releases at least two albums or mini-albums every year, and I feel that each successive output takes away the importance of the one before it, I originally didn't want to listen to another release at all. In the end my defense crumbled, because I wanted to put my judgment to the test again. However, after a few spins, I can now say with certainty that I will only listen to the next outing if it is better edited and matured from his standard approach. The running length of his entire albums in combination with the eternally-samy rythms, meaningless lyrics and confused song structures simply makes the listening experience unnecessarily difficult and dilutes the undoubtedly great moments in between (yes, I like the addition of the chant-like cleans). I can't completely trash this album if judged individually, but in terms of the overall discography it would certainly not be more than average.
