I haven't heard too many japanese metal bands and unfortunately non of them is for my taste. It's a shame because I enjoy many japanese video games and their soundtracks.

This new Galneryus sounds pretty much the same as previous albums and I got bored quickly. It's not bad but it could be much better and more interesting. Album cover art is great though.

I was very disappointed with this new album. Too many watered down songs very forgettable. What happened with the unstoppable speed they always delivered? Only the first song was classic Galneryus.

Sorry... I don't associate 'very disappointed' and 'watered down songs' with a rating of 8. I gave the new Twilight Force an 8 and I absolutely love that album.

There's nothing remarkable about it other than some decent lead guitar work, which is expected from such an excellent guitarist. The songwriting is pretty poor compared to what they've done before in the past. Still, it's not a bad album but I've definitely heard better from this band I will say that much.

The decline of Galneryus started exactly when they switched labels from VAP to Warner Music Japan

He-heh. Well, the album is not really bad, but for my standards concerning with this band, is a disappointing listening. They can do it better.

I agree, I think it's one of their weakest. They dialed down the shredding big time and there are too many 'Ballad' type songs. I too as you can see, rated it an 8, because it's still a good album but definitely their weakest in a long time.

I don't think they have necessarily declined in the same realm as Sonata Arctica, but for me, the past couple of albums have been a result of making music for the sake of making music. Perhaps it could be because Warner demanded a certain amount of albums, but they should take longer with them. They just released an EP about two years ago and somehow come up with a brand new album right now? They should've combined the best songs of both (this and the EP) and this would've turned into a solid album. I agree though that I haven't really heard a memorable song since Vetegyus.

Surprised you are surprised that they released another album. If you look at their discography, if anything, they've slowed down, lol. Before Yama-B left they were pumping out an album every year. They took a break when that split happened, and then they've been pretty consistent ever since.

Anyway, the album is okay but definitely not as good as the last one. It's still a solid release, but it's definitely disappointing compared to their other releases.

The most sad thing about this album is the chaotic production. This album sounds very noisy and amateur-ish for a band who made so many albums in 23 years.

I totally get why this album is voted a lot lower than others. It is true that if you've listened to the past three or so albums, there is nothing different compared to this one. However, if you like the Galneryus style and sound, then this is a very solid and very good produced album. If you want something unique or are not a huge fan of their style, then this album will probably be rated lower for you. I like Galyernus and thought it was better than reading the reviews.

Wow! A Galneryus album below 8/10?
