A vast, purple landscape, gnarled trees, … these cover art elements usually indicate that eerie black metal awaits. Instead, within the first few seconds, VoidCeremony make blatantly apparent that they're here to serve you a slimey stew of exquisite, progressive death metal.

There are some seriously impressive musicianship skills here, the guitar work is extremely technical but very cleverly done, the drumming is great, the vocals are pretty decent, and the bass is just insane! Also great production, and very well crafted, it's brutal yet jazzy and actually quite melodious.

It's quite a thrilling release all round I say, and that's coming from a style that's very hit and miss from me. It's been be of those instances where the sound quality is so good that the songwriting doesn't come into as much consideration.

Love the artwork, love the music that at times seems like 2 different worlds clashing and morphing into other, very groovy solos. and ofc u have to love the bass one of the best of the year for sure.
