Piet Sielck, one of the founders to the legendary Power Metal band Helloween, is back with his Iron Savior, and with "Battering Ram" they releases their sixth album (Second without the co-founder to Helloween and founder of Gamma Ray, Kai Hansen). And now it seems like Piet knows how to survive without Kai at his side, since I didn't like "Condition Red" a bit, so this is a saviour, if you ask me. Read more ›› |

One of Iron Saviors finest moments, only surpassed by Condition Red and Unification. Very good power metal with focus on large choruses and excellent riffs.

Pretty powerless "power metal" with a couple of songs for exceptions. The whole album gives an impression of being somewhat uninspired and this is especially apparent in many of the lyrics. I start to think this band became on their later albums more of a parodic band or they started to take making their music too much for granted which resulted often in making them look like uninspired and full of heavy metal cliches. Not bad, but not anything special either.
