Just finished listening to the entire album. Sadly I'm a bit disappointed, there's not much memorable here  It's like a watered down combination of AtGoS and TWtGD. Then again, I'm not too familiar with Nile's pre-AotW material so...

I tried so hard to find at least a single enjoyable part in this album but right from the start, the production irritated me and the songs flied past like bad background noise and it was a total let downer. Not even the pacing is good enough, this is played like brutal death metal instead of Nile's usual blazing fast hyper-tech death. I had high hopes for this. What a bummer. I really hope they find their touch back.

Written by Ag Fox on 03.10.2015 at 17:23 The album was enjoyable enough but was kinda sailing past me, but I suddenly found myself paying attention to a song - turned out it was Evil To Cast Out Evil Also, I generally found myself more engaged in the second half - not sure if the music was better or I was just more tuned into it after that song
