Brutality In It's Purest Form!!!
Vicious Circle is an unrelenting force...a steamroller of adrenaline. Since 1988, these New Jersey based legends have been churning out brutality with their own style of extreme musical purity. Never compromising and never bowing down to the norm. They began with playing the New Jersey/Philadelphia/New York club circuit, building a strong following from their powerful live performances.
Their 1989 self entitled demo was sent to countless fanzines, worldwide for review. The resulting "buzz" led from local area shows with such acts including Revenant, Ripping Corpse, Human Remains, Nokturnal, Mortuary, Damnability, Faith Or Fear, Mortal Decay, etc... to being added to numerous national tour packages with such acts including Death, Morbid Angel, D.R.I., Murphy's Law, Machine Head, Six Feet Under, Madball, Crowbar, Scatterbrains, Bolt Thrower, Brutal Truth, Obituary, Entombed, Cannibal Corpse, Dying Fetus, Mortician, Suffocation, King Diamond, Fear Of God, Fear Factory, Overkill, Deicide, Pungent Stench, Nuclear Assault, Napalm Death, Sodom, Disincarnate, Necrophagist, Bad Brains etc... traveling/playing to many states throughout the US, leaving many Metal fans in their wake wanting more.
Their 1992 'Fist Of God' demo (featuring original vocalist, Brian Chicano) peaked the interest of Indianapolis based independent label, JL America. May of 1993 saw the release of the bands debut full length CD, 'Cryptic Void'.
Early 1994 saw the departure of Brian Chicano and the arrival of new vocalist, Brian Cook. The '94 demo was immediately recorded with Brian Cook in the band, which received great reviews with an amazing response to the new voice in Vicious Circle. This fueled the band for the intense show schedules that were booked, while writing new material for the 4 song demo 'Live Long And Suffer', released in 1997.
Late 1998 saw the departure of Brian Cook and arrival of new vocalist, Darrell Rapp. The new vocal style brought to life an unstoppable brilliance, which resulted in the full length Neoblast/Crash Music Inc. release, 'The Art Of Agony'.
Early 2007 saw the inevitable departure of Darrell Rapp and the glorious return of Brian Cook, to continue where he left off in 1998.
Vicious Circle is a brutal and relentless entity within the Metal genre and will continue to make a severe impact with every new and upcoming release in their ongoing fight for respect in the Music Industry.
This is not a band for the weak!!!
