Br00tal Death metal
Mar 01, 2011
There's a new Deeds Of Flesh coming up and nobody cared to inform the MS News department? Thanks for nothing, you pricks. Hope your ears explode when it's out.

Anyway, the band will start recording Portal to Canaan in May/June, with a late 2011 release through Unique Leader Records. There. In the meantime, please enjoy this monster of an album.

In Flames - The Jester Race

Gothenburg metal
Feb 22, 2011
Nostalgic reminder: exactly fifteen years ago melodic death metal was still a respectable genre instead of a curse word, and we all thought In Flames were the tits!

Crazy times, crazy times... now get the hell off my playground!
Feb 15, 2011
One of 2010's little treasures you might have missed... and certainly worthy of an Award *cough cough* Just saying.

2010 was a pretty rough year for metal... But probably among the worst news of 2010 was the break-up of Despised Icon.

Sucky deathcore bands come a dime a dozen, but a really great deathcore band are the rarest of breeds. Which is why Despised Icon will be sorely missed.

Metallica - St. Anger

Gimme Fue! Gimme Fai! Gimme Dabajabaza!
Jan 18, 2011
So the biggest metal band on the planet is turning 30 this year.

As the story goes, back in 1981, some dude called James Hetfield answered a newspaper ad by a certain Lars Ulrich... and the legend was born. 30 years later, the success story that is Metallica still remains unequaled.

Happy 30th birthday, Metallica!

Coffinworm - When All Became None

Doom / Sludge / Black
Dec 07, 2010
It's December, and the traditional end-of-year-list season is coming up... Which is why I'll provide you with yet another awesome tip, so your own silly best of 2010 list will already look a little less terrible. You're very welcome.

The Ocean - Anthropocentric

Ambient Soundtrack Doomrock
Nov 30, 2010
The new The Ocean album is much better than the other new The Ocean album.

The album lies perfectly in line with its predecessor, with the sole difference that Anthropocentric shows aggression, heaviness, power and, well, everything else Heliocentric was lacking.

Altars Of Destruction - Gallery Of Pain

Thrash! Thrash! Thrash!
Nov 23, 2010
24 years after the band's conception, one of the best-kept secrets in the Finnish thrash metal underground has finally released its debut full-length. Needless to say Altars Of Destruction will be kicking ass up and down the scene with this beast of an album.
