The Netherlands, Tilburg - Roadburn 2015: 20th Anniversary

Well the question of which festival to commit to for next year was between this and Maryland Deathfest for me, but now that the four day passes for MDF are sold out, the choice is obvious. Need more lineup unveiling, but I think what's there already is enough to make me want to go. Profetus are gonna decimate the Het Patronaat, Monolord and Salem's Pot will both be trippy as fuck, Botanist and Undersmile were really pleasant surprises, and the Enslaved/Wardruna curating is gonna kick the shit out of Mikael's boring prog fest for this year.

I hope there will be some Dutch BM announced. Terzij De Horde, mayhaps?

Doubt it but can always try and convince Walter to book them. They would be perfect for the Cul De Sac venue though.
Problem is they aren't too active currently. Okay they are recording some new stuff but that's about it and in two weeks time a gig with WInterfylleth, Saille and Black Decades. Problem for gigs is that Joost their vocalist is out of the country a lot of times due to work.

I'm the total opposite. I don't know much about what the fest is like but from what little I've deduced it's a bunch of boring elitists probably name checking bands and bitching about others. I imagine I'm wrong, but I have a feeling I would have more fun at regular metal fests. The line-up is looking mighty fine though.

Maurice has always been active on the live front with all his projects, but normally not so much out of The Netherlands. So, MDF is a nice surprise for his fans over in the US, but the set on Roadburn, well, he has performed there a couple of times before with both Aderlating and Seiron, so it was to be expected he would preform there soon with Gnaw Their Tongues.

I recall you said once (pretty sure at least) that you have seen Mories performing under the Gnaw Their Tongues name. I've seen him play both as Seirom and Aderlating. He is alone with Seirom but Aderlating is in fact a two-man thing... Did you see him alone or with extra people when he performed as GTT? Just curious.

I think he was alone but am not sure since it was the last band of the night and things were running a lot later than planned and I was already leaving my footprints in the drunken void :p

Oh...well... I remind people! I mostly remind myself. Because my memory sucks.
Wonder why they never did this before (since 2007 anyways). Was it to mantain this whole thing about being there the whole time I guess.

Gnaw Their Tongues and Botanist, hide yo chilluns from the one man madness

Going this year would be a dream come true, it's a shame that nobody I know cares about any of these bands though. I guess i'll have to spend four days at Bråvalla instead passed out in my tent or at one of the festival outhouses while my buddies sees Calvin Harris and Wu Tang Clan live (kinda like Calvin Harris though but shit, I would choose Gnaw Their Tongues over him any day of the week).

Really stellar line-up. as Black Flag once sang, "Jealous Again." Bongripper. Minsk. Profetus. Enslaved. Enslaved again.

And which Lo-Pan are we talking about? Little old basket case on wheels or the ten foot tall roadblock?
