In last Thursday's (January 27th) episode of SiriusXM's 'Trunk Nation With Eddie Trunk', legendary rocker Alice Cooper revealed that he has been working on two "different kinds" of hard rock albums that will be helmed by his longtime producer Bob Ezrin, who is most famous for producing many of his classic albums. Cooper says the first of these two albums is expected to be released later this year.

British rock legends The Cult have announced dates for a U.S. tour that will begin on April 21st in St. Petersburg, Florida and will wrap up on May 11th in San Diego, California. Tickets go on sale this Friday (February 4th). The band, who is also scheduled to tour the UK with Alice Cooper in May, are currently working on new material for their first studio album since 2016's Hidden City; more info is expected at a later date.

"The Death Rides" is the first digital single / video, taken from heavy speed metal merchants Redshark's forthcoming debut album Digital Race. The lyrical theme is inspired by death and the emotional ride that leads people to choose euthanasia. This song is dedicated in the memory of a Spanish writer called Ramón Sampedro. Digital Race record comes out on March 25th, 2022.

Reunited British thrashers Hydra Vein announced on their Facebook page recently that they will enter the studio this summer to commence recording their long-awaited third album, which will be their first since 1989's After The Dream. They have also revealed that, other than founding members Dan Ranger (guitar) and Damon Maddison (bass), the lineup for the record includes James Manley-Bird (vocals), Henry Pol (guitar), Jonas Voorspoels (guitar) and John den Buitelaar (drums). King's X guitarist Ty Tabor has released a music video for "Sister Genocide", the first single from his upcoming 11th solo album Shades, which arrives on March 4th via Rat Pak Records. Shades is not the only record Tabor has in store for this year, however; the long-awaited new album from King's X is expected to arrive before the band heads to Europe this coming September and October.
