Corrosion Of Conformity - Recording New Album, Studio Clip

North Carolina legends Corrosion Of Conformity are currently recording their next album, the follow-up to the well-received self-titled record issued via Candlelight Records in late February 2012. The forthcoming album, untitled at this time, will again feature the trio of vocalist/bassist Mike Dean, guitarist Woodroe Weatherman, and drummer Reed Mullin. A new video clip from the studio can be seen below. Hear the first new sounds of the album.

Den Saakaldte - Enter Studio In February

Norwegian black metal legion Den Saakaldte will have a busy schedule in the next few months. The band's debut album All Hail Pessimism is finally being re-released on February 17th, for the first time in vinyl format via Agonia Records. The first 50 copies come as a deep purple vinyl and 200 copies as black. Both available in a double gatefold sleeve (2xLP). Furthermore, the follow-up to All Hail Pessimism is finally coming together.

King Of Asgard - To Enter The Studio

Swedish Viking metallers King Of Asgard will start the recordings of their new album in March 2014. The band outlived and conquered the winter of three with Fi'mbulvintr, paid tribute to their ancestors and their proud past with ...To North. Now, for the third time around, King Of Asgard return to Andy LaRocque's Sonic Train Studios to carve the runes of the forthcoming, yet untitled album. At the moment, the last touches are being done on the songs and focus is set to surpass the two former releases.

Sabaton - Enter The Studio

Insomnium - Update From The Studio

You already had a taste of new material from the Finnish metallers Insomnium on their new EP Ephemeral but their new album is yet to come. The band is currently recording the successor to One For Sorrow and has been updating regularly on that process. The drum parts were already recorded and now it's time for the guitars. According to the band, the new material is more varied than before.

Illdisposed - Enter The Studio In February

Get ready for another slab of death metal coming from Illdisposed because the Danish group has announced that they are entering the studio this February to record the follow-up to Sense The Darkness released last year. Illdisposed extended their deal with Massacre Records and the as-yet-untitled album should come out in mid 2014.

Gamma Ray - Update From The Studio

These are really months of hard work at the Gamma Ray camp. After finishing the tour with Helloween, during which they received the news of the Hamburg fire that destroyed their studio and equipment, they are now back in another studio, working on Empire Of The Undead, that will be released in March 2014 via earMUSIC.

Elvenking - To Enter The Studio

Good news from folk metallers Elvenking! On December 16th, the band will enter Domination Studios in San Marino to begin the recordings of the anticipated new album, the successor of Era (2012). Simone "Symohn" Morettin is going to record the drum tracks next week laying down the foundations of what the band already considers "the ultimate Elvenking manifesto". The new album is expected next year which means you won't have to wait that long. Also, the band is setting the bar very high on this one.

Italian symphonic metallers Evenoire have entered Dreamsound Studios in Munich, Germany, to record the follow-up to their debut album Vitriol. Mario Lochert, Dejan Djukovic and Daniel Rehbein (Emergency Gate, Graveworm, Visions Of Atlantis) will sit behind the console while mixing and mastering duties will be handled by Jan Vacik (Serenity, Visions Of Atlantis, Graveworm, Dreamscape).

Gamma Ray - Studio Destroyed In Hamburg Fire

A major fire in Hamburg, Germany has destroyed the Hammer Studios of Eike Freese, Kai Hansen and Dirk Schlächter. The studio has burnt to the ground, so have the rehearsal rooms of the Hamburg bands Gamma Ray, Dark Age, Brothers In Arms, ChainReAction, Black Hawk, A Million Miles, Sambódromo, Kamizaraky, The Golden Creek and Cate's Leila, of which many didn't have insurance for their equipment. Luckily, nobody was injured severely although some people suffered slight smoke poisoning and two people barely made it out of the burning building.

Threshold - Back In The Studio

More good news for proggers today. The British band Threshold has returned to the studio to work on the follow-up to their most current album March Of Progress, which was released last year via Nuclear Blast. Job For A Cowboy - Announce Studio Drummer For New Album

Death metallers Job For A Cowboy are currently writing their fourth full-length album, and the follow-up to 2012's Demonocracy album. The band will be moving forward without long time drummer Jon "The Charn" Rice who decided to leave the band but apparently on good terms. With a new album scheduled to be recorded with Jason Suecof this winter, the band has enlisted the drumming talents of Danny Walker to fill in as the studio drummer. Walker is known for his work in Intronaut, as well as having performed with Exhumed, Jesu, Phobia, Murder Construct, and more.
