Epica have recently posted online an official live video from their show at Ancienne Belgique in Brussels, Belgium. The Dutch symphonic metal act release then the second song that was recorded live earlier this year during the European Enigma Tour sold-out show there. The video was shot and edited by Jens De Vos and his team at Panda Productions. The show was recorded by Ace Zec and mixed by Epica producer Joost van der Broek. After cancelling a few shows in North America before, Epica are now forced to drop off their North America tour entirely. The tour will continue without them with the other bands on the bill, Eluveitie and The Agonist. As for Epica, they will reschedule the North American tour in support of The Quantum Enigma for the beginning of next year.

After announcing that keyboardist Coen Janssen would sit out their upcoming North American tour, Epica have more bad news for their fans. The Dutch band has been forced to cancel a few of their shows on this tour, in Quebec City, Toronto, Chicago, and Minneapolis. The band promises an update soon but unfortunately, Simone Simons has to deal with a serious situation in her close family.

Epica will be playing without their long time keyboardist Coen Janssen on their upcoming North American tour. Coen has revealed that the reason is his wife was diagnosed with cancer. It is still unclear who will fill in for Coen at this time, but Epica promised the tour will go as planned. Coen should return to the stage with them in October. We wish his wife, Linda, a full recovery.

Epica have their own festival now! The symphonic metal giants just announced their very own festival, Epic Metal Fest. And it's already looking pretty good. Organised and curated by the members of Epica, this brand new festival will take place on the 22nd of November at Klokgebouw in Eindhoven, The Netherlands. The first edition will see Epica headline, joined by their friends Eluveitie, Fear Factory (20th anniversary Demanufacture show), Moonspell, Delain and Periphery, with more bands to be announced soon.

Epica has been touring extensively to promote their latest album The Quantum Enigma from Europe to South America and that is not about to stop. The symphonic metallers have decided to tour Europe one final time in support of the album. This fall they will hit the road together with Swiss folk metallers Eluveitie. This tour will see Epica headline on the dates in Italy, France and the UK. Epica and Eluveitie will be co-headlining in Germany, Poland and Czech Republic. Swedish progressive melodic death metal band Scar Symmetry will be the opener for all dates for this strong bill.

Bay Area metallers Machine Head continue their live domination of North America with the announcement of a 21-show U.S. and Canadian trek in support of their debut studio album for Nuclear Blast Entertainment, which is due out this fall.
