Kamelot - Unveil Title Of Upcoming Album, To Film DVD

Kamelot have released just a bit more about their new album. The symphonic metallers are set to release a brand new record in 2018 and now the band has unveiled the album's title: The Shadow Theory, coming this Spring on Napalm Records, with the album cover reveal happening next week. Recently, Kamelot also revealed that Jennifer Haben (Beyond The Black) will be a special guest on the new album.

Vixen - Singer Janet Gardner Recovering From Emergency Surgery

Vixen frontwoman Janet Gardner is recovering from surgery to remove blood clots in her brain, a condition known as a subdural hematoma. Subdural hematomas result from bleeding on the surface of the brain, and the condition is most often due to a serious fall or head injury. Vixen are also set to release a new album in 2018.

Obscura - Complete New Album, Reveal Album Title

Technical death metal masters Obscura have completed their fifth full-length album and announced that it will be entitled Diluvium. Diluvium was recorded with longtime producer V. Santura (Triptykon, Pestilence) at Woodshed Studios in Landshut, Germany and the album is set for a summer 2018 release via Relapse Records.

On Thorns I Lay - First Single From Upcoming Album

After signing an agreement to join the Alone Records roster late last year, the Greek doom metal masters On Thorns I Lay shared the first single from their upcoming album, mixed and mastered by Dan Swanö. Aegean Sorrow will be released on March 12th via Alone Records and The Vinyl Division. Leaving behind the gothic influences, it seems to be a return to the death doom roots. Sanctuary - Tribute Upcoming Shows As Farewell To Warrel Dane, Announce Guest Vocalist

American metallers Iced Earth had announced a North American tour with Sanctuary before Warrel Dane passed away. It has now been announced that the tour will go on as planned, as a tribute to the fallen singer, one of metal's most revered vocalists. The band has invited a guest singer to perform Sanctuary songs and that will be Joseph Michael from Witherfall.

Riverside - New Album Coming This Year

Riverside's frontman Mariusz Duda has shared some news regarding the future plans for the progressive band. In a message posted on his Facebook page, the bassist/vocalist revealed that a new Riverside album is set to drop this year! This will be their first album since Love, Fear And The Time Machine (2015) and, of course, the first since the passing of guitarist Piotr Grudzinski in 2016.

Immortal - Complete New Album

The last we've heard of Immortal, the black metal legends promised to begin recording their new album last year. Now, a year later, that album is completed to finally follow 2009's All Shall Fall. The album will be released by Nuclear Blast Records in 2018 (release date will follow) and contain the following tracks: 'Northern Chaos Gods', 'Into Battle Ride', 'Gates To Blashyrkh', 'Grim And Dark', 'Called To Ice', 'Where Mountains Rise', 'Blacker Of Worlds' and 'Mighty Ravendark'.

Nightwish - To Release New Compilation Album

Nuclear Blast just announced that the new, upcoming compilation album of the Finnish symphonic masters Nightwish, titled Decades - An Archive Of Song will be released on March 3rd, 2018, and is now available for pre-order! This compilation album will be released in celebration of the band's worldwide success over the years, and will debut the remastered versions of the best Nightwish songs between the years of 1996-2016, including the band's earliest, self-titled demo, and a variety of songs from all of the band's eras.

Sodom - Part Ways With Drummer And Guitarist

The new year has started with a change for Sodom: vocalist/bassist Tom Angelripper has split up with guitarist Bernd "Bernemann" Kost and drummer Markus "Makka" Freiwald. Despite of this line-up change, all scheduled Sodom shows will take place from April 2018 as announced. Tom is set to introduce his new comrades-in-arms at the Full Metal Mountain. Whether the band will continue to operate as a trio or perhaps become a quartet in future remains unclear.
