Omnium Gatherum - Part Ways With Bassist

Finnish melodic death metallers Omnium Gatherum have announced that they have parted ways with bassist Toni Mäki. The band released this statement: "OG have decided to go separate ways with our bass player of the last three years, Toni Mäki. The decision was made already some time ago after our latest European tour Neckbreaker's Ball and it wasn't an easy one."

The Agonist - New Album Details Revealed

After spending many months in the studio, Canadian melodic death metallers The Agonist have finally finished their third studio album, Prisoners. Produced by Christian Donaldson (Cryptopsy) and mixed by Tue Madsen (The Haunted, Dark Tranquillity, Suicide Silence), Prisoners is set to be released via Century Media Records on June 4th in Europe and June 5th in North America, and it picks right up where 2009's Lullabies For The Dormant Mind left off, with soaring melodies over complex metal passages.

Kromlek - Split Up

After eight years of pagan folk metal and three albums, Kromlek have announced the split up of the band.

US heavy metallers Icarus Witch are sad to announce the cancellation of the Di'Anno Tour where they would have shared the stage with Widow and Cauldron. The band posted the following on their MySpace page: "As many of you have heard by now, Paul Di'Anno has cancelled (or indefinitely postponed) his scheduled North American tour for this summer."

Abnormality has signed with Sevared Records for their upcoming debut full-length, entitled Contaminating The Hive Mind. The band has been working with Pete Rutcho (Revocation, Rose Funeral) for Contaminating The Hive Mind, which is expected to be released later this year. Bison B.C. - Working On New Material

Canadian sludge metal outfit Bison B.C. are currently working on their fourth album. The band checked in with the following update: "The new batch of songs that will become our 4th album are frighteningly close to being completed and ready to record. there are some long, slow ones; some short fast ones; some that start fast then slow down; some that start slow and then speed right up; and even some that have nary a single awkward tempo change! We are excited to play them live and in the studio and anxious to see if our loyal followers will hear the same influences that we do! (Seaweed? Tad? Melvins? Integrity? Born Against? Tool?) who knows?!"
