Morgoth - To Release Live Album

Following 2011's comeback celebrating the 20th anniversary of the release of their classic Cursed album by successfully appearing at prestigious festival events like Wacken, Party.San or Hellfest, Germany's seminal death metal act Morgoth are happy to commence a new, next year of activities in 2012.

Morgoth have additionally confirmed to be currently working on their career's first-ever live-release, which is being mixed in Sweden right now by Dan Swanö at Unisound Studio (Opeth, Dissection, Bloodbath, etc.). An international release date is expected for the summer of 2012 via Century Media Records.

Rudra - New Guitarist Joins The Ranks

Singaporean thrash/death metallers Rudra have announced that guitarist Subash has just joined the band. Subash replaces Devan who left the band last year.

Fellow guitarist Venod comments: "Being in a band is like living with a family. Nothing can be better than to have someone like a brother on board. Subash has helped us a lot in the past and knowing what a talented guitarist he is, definitely a perfect member to join us on this journey."

The Ocean - To Embark On Extensive Eastern European Tour

German sludge metallers The Ocean will extensively tour the countries of Russia, Ukraine and Belarus, come this February. The band posted the following: "The Ocean will be embarking on an extended tour of Russia, Ukraine and Belarus in February/March 2012! We won't just be playing the major cities Moscow and St. Petersburg, we'll be going far beyond the Ural range and as far East as Novosibirsk and Krasnoyarsk in Siberia, about 500 km from the Mongolian border. Yes drives won't be short and it's gonna be brutally cold and we will probably die somewhere on the way, but hell we're stoked!"

The Black Dahlia Murder - Announce US Tour With Nile, Skeletonwitch And Hour Of Penance

US melodic death metal outfit The Black Dahlia Murder will be hitting the road this March marking the band's first headline run of 2012. Joining them will be Nile, Skeletonwitch, and Hour Of Penance. The tour kicks off on March 24th in Grand Rapids, MI, at The Intersection and wraps up on April 20th in Worcester Mass at the New England Metal & Hardcore festival. Tickets for the upcoming tour will go on sale starting this Saturday, January 21st.

Flying Colors - New Project Featuring Mike Portnoy And Steve Morse

Flying Colors, the new project featuring drummer Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater, Avenged Sevenfold, Adrenaline Mob) and guitarist Steve Morse (Deep Purple, Dixie Dregs), have revealed details about their upcoming debut album. The self-titled record, which was produced by Peter Collins (Rush, Queensrÿche), will be available in the UK on March 26th, followed by a US release on March 27th. You can view the tracklist below.
