Norwegian black metallers Emperor are set to reunite in 2017 in order to play a few exclusive appearances, the first confirmed show being at the Brutal Assault festival in the Czech Republic. The band will play numbers from their highly-acclaimed 1997 record, Anthems To The Welkin At Dusk, to celebrate its 20th anniversary, and will consist of band members Ihsahn, Samoth and Trym Torson, who was a member of the band up until 2007. These shows, however, do not give indication of whether or not Emperor are set to reunite as a permanent band.

To support Low Country, the band will be heading out as direct support for the Opeth tour from September 29-October 26. Bracketing the Opeth tour will be 10 headline shows. Their fourth album and Napalm Records debut Prevail I plus II will be released as two separate volumes of a double album. The first part will be released in February 2017 with the second part to follow in October of 2017.
