Callisto - New Album Detailed

Finns Callisto are pleased to share new details for their upcoming new studio effort Secret Youth, which will hit the stores on January 30th, 2015 via Svart Records on CD, vinyl, and digital. Celebrating the new album, the band will perform select dates across Finland (dates below) and will afterwards embark on an extensive European tour in the Spring of 2015. Rage - Classic Line-Up Reunites, Planning Festival Appearances

Vocalist/bassist Peavy Wagner, guitarist Manni Schmidt and drummer Christos Efthimiadis, who released five albums in one of the most successful lineups of Rage, have reunited in the band called Refuge. Since 1994, the three musicians have played with different bands and continued to follow their own paths: Peavy with Rage, Manni with Grave Digger and Christos with Tri State Corner. Refuge are already confirmed for Sweden Rock Festival 2015.

Faith No More - Former Singer Broke, Asks For Help

Former Faith No More singer Chuck Mosley, between 1983-1988, has fallen on hard financial times and is asking for help from his fans so that he and his family can avoid being evicted from the house they have lived in for the past decade. He took to the internet to ask for help as he is in danger of losing his family's house. The singer performed on the band's firs two albums, We Care A Lot and Introduce Yourself.

Torche - Reveal New Album Details And Trailer

Stoners Torche just announced that their next album will be called Restarter, and is slated for a February 24th release via Relapse Records. They also shared more details about the 10-track album including full tracklist and artwork. The Florida/Georgia based quartet is also giving fans the first taste of music with a thirty-second teaser trailer featuring a portion of the album opener "Annihilation Affair." Dig in!

Swallow The Sun - Kai Hahto Steps Down, Replacement Announced

Swallow The Sun have announced that drummer Kai Hahto is stepping down from the band. While neither the Finnish band nor Kai Hahto say he is leaving the band, Juuso Raatikainen has been announced as the band's new official drummer. You might remember that Kai Hahto is working with Nightwish on their upcoming album as Jukka Nevalainen will take a break due to health issues. The music for the new Swallow The Sun album is ready and they promise something big for their next release.

AC/DC - Drummer Back In Court For Breaching Bail

Here we go again. AC/DC's drummer Phil Rudd has appeared in court for breaching his bail conditions, following an incident in Tauranga, according to Stuff.co.nz and many other sources. He was arrested less than a month ago. His bail conditions have now been tightened to include not taking illegal drugs to limit any "erratic behaviour". Crown prosecutor Greg Hollister-Jones said it was a serious breach because it involved interfering with a witness.

Primal Fear - Announce Special Show At ROW Festival

German power metal band Primal Fear will play a very special one-off gig at Rock One World Festival in Esslingen on February 28th, 2015. According to Primal Fear, the show will be in memory of former Sinner drummer Ralf Schulz who died in March this year. This show will feature the band's original line-up with guitarist Tom Naumann and drummer Klaus Sperling.

The sad news continue as Australian death/doom metal act The Slow Death have shared that their vocalist Gregg Williamson has passed away due to heart failure. This happens at the time the band is about to release their new album Ark in January on Chaos Records. They are now dedicating the album to Gregg Williamson.

Cadaver - Former Bassist Rene Jansen Passes Away

Rene Jansen, former bassist in death metallers Cadaver passed away yesterday at age 45, after battling leukemia for the past few months. He was currently involved in a black metal project by the name of Order, together with his old band mate Anders "Neddo" Odden, and early Mayhem members Eirik "Messiah" Nordheim and Kjetil Manheim, veterans in the Norwegian metal scene. The band stated earlier this autumn that they had high hopes, and expected a quick recovery for Rene. Sadly, he lost the battle.

Tank - Releasing New Album In March

Metal Mind Productions has announced the extension of the recording deal with British heavy metal veterans Tank. The band's forthcoming, yet-untitled album is planned for March 2015. This will be their first record with new vocalist ZP Theart (ex-DragonForce), drummer Bobby Schottkowski (ex-Sodom) and bassist Barend Courbois (Blind Guardian) in the band.
